Former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio): ‘Deep State’ Trying To ‘Destroy The Trump Presidency’

Former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) said Americans must put party politics aside and acknowledge that the federal government is “under attack from within.” Kucinich said the “deep state” within the bureaucracy is trying to “destroy Donald Trump’s presidency.” He said there is a “politicization” of intentionally nonpartisan agencies that has resulted in leaks to the press and a “threat to our republic.”

Kucinich called the damaging leaks against President Trump a “clear and present danger” to the American way of life. He called on the anonymous leakers to have the courage to name themselves. “Our first allegiance is to our country,” he added. “Our country itself is under attack from within.” Mike Huckabee credited Kucinich with ignoring the majority of his fellow Democrats and speaking out on the crisis in a nonpartisan way.

  1. Never made sense to me to allow gubmint employees to unionize.
That’s just asking for trouble. Their job is already to tell you what to do and how much to pay them to do it.

  2. That was an astounding display of rationality from a … whatever he is.
That the spooks are playing fast and loose with America should occur to one of the more entrenched is amazing, and that he should risk all … ALL … to try to warn us is beyond belief. As a member in good standing in the swamp, look for him to have an “accident” or be declared “insane” for being so bold as to blatantly speak facts over a public medium.

Never thought I’d write it, but God Bless Dennis Kucinich for having guts.

  3. Denis is a simple man, compared to those lecherous rapacious criminals that were his colleagues. Not surprised he’s saying this, but his voice is as a whisper in a hurricane.
There are trillions of loot at stake here.

  4. Some anti-Trumpers may be realizing that driving Trump from office by whatever means will cripple our internal politics, destroy foreign policy, and disrupt civil society for a long time to come. They fanned the flames and threw in more fuel. Now the might see that the resulting conflagration may not be extinguishable.

  5. @Organgrinder: “Although no longer in office, probably the only decent democrat I’m aware of.”

The first part of your sentence explains the second part.

  6. If Leviathan can spit out elected leaders it doesn’t like, the ballot box has become meaningless. Without the vote, government of and by the people will either take another form or perish.

  7. He called on the anonymous leakers to have the courage to name themselves. That’s a good one Denis, that will happen the after hell freezes over.

  8. I am not convinced there are any “anonymous leakers”, it is entirely possible the WP and NYT made the whole thing up out of whole cloth. Wouldn’t be the first time. -Capt. Obvious

The regime already deciding who to allow on the ballot, makes the ballot box meaningful?
