The best summary of the Uranium One Scandal

Patriot Retort: It’s a lot to process this Uranium One scandal.

But when you get into the nuts and bolts of it, there is no doubt that it is the most damning political scandal in decades.

And at the heart of it is not just the greedy, grasping Clintons, but the Obama Administration, the FBI and the DOJ.

And Andy McCarthy at National Review has written what is probably the best recounting of the whole sordid thing.

McCarthy breaks it all down for you.

But be prepared. As you read it, you’ll find yourself growing furious.

It’s makes my blood boil that the very same people who are investigating alleged “collusion” between Trump and Russia were fully aware of this Uranium One mishegas and helped to cover it up.

And that isn’t even the worst of it.

Here’s just a sample of what McCarthy has to say.

Here’s the kicker: The Uranium One scandal is not only, or even principally, a Clinton scandal. It is an Obama-administration scandal.

The Clintons were just doing what the Clintons do: cashing in on their “public service.” The Obama administration, with Secretary Clinton at the forefront but hardly alone, was knowingly compromising American national-security interests. The administration green-lighted the transfer of control over one-fifth of American uranium-mining capacity to Russia, a hostile regime — and specifically to Russia’s state-controlled nuclear-energy conglomerate, Rosatom. Worse, at the time the administration approved the transfer, it knew that Rosatom’s American subsidiary was engaged in a lucrative racketeering enterprise that had already committed felony extortion, fraud, and money-laundering offenses.

But it gets worse.

  1. oh … it’s MUCH worse … so bad that Congress will never prosecute
they fear the trail might do a dump on their doorsteps much more than the fear of our country being taken over by the Globalist Cabal

  2. And the Jeff Sessions led DOJ is doing nothing, while mueller and rosenstein pursue President Trump on non existant violations. What the hell is wrong with us?

  3. I applaud Andrew Mcarthy’s steadfastness in reporting the truth about this. It’s a miserable, crooked, slimy sell out of America.

Ten years ago I wouldn’t believe it and would have been in a thundering rage, demanding accountability and heads.

They’ve worn me down to the point of… oh well. Business as usual.

What would perk me back up would be prosecutions and frog matches. What I see instead is all of the wonderful and esteemed former presidents feted at a phony hurricane disaster concert. Half of those fuckers should be behind bars.

  4. Republicans may not have known all the details then, but they sure do now. Where will this go? Absolutely nowhere.

I firmly believe there’s so much corruption, even if Trump could light a fire under Sessions ass, nobody wants to pull the loose thread for fear of complete anarchy and chaos if we find out the depth & scope of their secrets & the money they’ve stolen from us.

  5. I’m not finished. Sadly, as much fun as the campaign rally chants of “lock her up” were, in reality it can’t really happen without charges against Trump of being a Hitleresque figure, exacting revenge against political adversaries.

So in effect, being elected president, or First Lady immunes oneself from true accountability.

The clintons do, in reality, have total impunity.
If you did this you’d be fooked.

  6. I used to joke one day Putin would return that Uranium. Now I realize it will be North Korea or Iran delivering the goods. I hope when it happens it lands on Chelsea and her kids and Hilary lives long enough to realize what she done.

  7. like PHenry, I too have grown old and jaded, and despairing of any meaningful change coming out of Washington, even with Trump (allegedly) in charge. Perhaps in the future some young patriots will pick up the banner and carry it forward in the name of our Republic, but I fear it will not be in my lifetime. And if they do not, I am glad I will not be around to see the downfall of America that will follow.

Sorry to be such a downer, but that’s what is on my mind right now.

Tune in tomorrow when I may be in a better mood.

  8. Few journalists are realistically presenting this. McCarthy gets it right, when he reports that it is “one-fifth of American uranium-mining capacity” that was clandestinely sold to Russia. Most would believe the amount sold was a reserve or similar, but such is not the case. What was sold is our ‘capacity’, or mining yield, and that means 1/5 of our uranium, going forward. And apparently Russia hasn’t been totally forthright about what they do with their uranium. That includes the uranium that they got, and will get, from us. That would include any uranium that might find its way ti iran. But, thankfully, obama also gave us the iran nuclear deal, and we all know they are so good about policing/ inspecting themselves.
This is treasonous. The deal needs to be scrapped, monies seized from the clinton foundation, stocks seized from podesta and the all the people involved be imprisoned.
Sessions needs to put down his gameboy, get off the toilet, and act. Either that, or find a new job.

  9. “Sorry to be such a downer, but that’s what is on my mind right now.”

Don’t blame you Bud. But try and look at the positives shit taking place. And there’s a lot of it.

  10. @ Viet Vet. Who said we’re old? Hahaha. Sure we don’t skateboard and surf or ski much anymore. But we still muster the strength to fend off the women clamoring to be with us.

Dude. My 95 mph fastball is down to 59. But other than that. And the infrequent bowel movements. But other than that.

  11. “When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer protect you against them, but PROTECT THEM AGAINST YOU … you may know that your society is doomed.”
    Ayn Rand

Sound familiar? Clintons, Obama, Lerner, Holder, Lynch, Weinstein, Kennedys, Reid, Waters, & etc, etc, etc.

  12. Do we know why Obama kicked all those Russians out of the country in that period after the election but before the inauguration?
    I think it’s related.

And don’t forget Bill Clinton gave the green light for Bernie Schwartz and Loral to sell guided missile secrets to China.

  13. Mix the New Communism of one Taqiyah Sunrise-Drinking, Purple-Lipped, Jug-Eared, Jihadi-Loving, Deserter-Honoring, Momjeans-Wearing, Peace-Prize Stealing, Shame Gland Missing, Lying, Denying, America-Hating, Eavesdropping, Benghazi Bullshitting, Marxist, Muzlim Mallard (disguised as a Black man), with the unbridled greed of a vile, lying, shameless, manipulative, foul, anti-semetic, Alinsky-loving, seditious, treacherous, sick old bitch and her debauched, weenie-wagging criminal business partner and you have a state-sponsored Molotov Cocktail of the likes we’ve never seen before! Heads need to roll over this!

  14. Less golf, more swamp draining. It’s a full-time job for a fully stocked administration 24 hours a day.

In case no one heard Biden earlier this week talking about how all of the Obama holdovers in every department need to sabotage every step of the way.

There are no “good” Clinton holdovers. There are no “good” Obama holdovers.

For a man known for saying “you’re fired”, I haven’t heard you’re fired enough. I’m the guy in the audience holding my lighter in the air and yelling out requests.

Hey! Hey!!!! Play “You’re Fired” again!

  15. So, the Clinton fund was padded, using their political clout, from corrupt dealings that put American national interest at risk (and God knows what else)? Sorry, but their fund should be confiscated and turned into a public trust. And the lot of them, Clintons, Obama, Holder etc.. should be thrown in jail.
As for Putin, he should be officially told that in his pic where was riding bare chested on a horse – he looked like a girly man (that’ll teach him).

  16. Since the players involved reject the US parchment that delineates the law of the land, an rejection to that law should be made on their behalf. They basically have been tried in the court of public opinion so no formal trial is necessary. They should be moved to a paddock and paddocked. To coin a new phrase.
