@Walter — Your examples bring to mind others who are weirdly silent or out of the picture at the moment. Like, where is the former SoS Pompeo? He was pretty busy on the lecture circuit just last year. I nearly fell asleep at his presentation to a packed house last summer. And we haven’t heard Mayorkas’ making splashy X posts for quite a while. Even James Comey (who has X Tourettes) has gone radio silent. Lots of headliners seem to have gone missing.
I hope the other excellent DOGE contributors are still on the job. I’m thinking Musk’s public return to Tesla is a tactical move to throw our enemies off the scent. They’re just that dumb. I think it will be very hard for the media to bring the useful idiots up to speed on a new target within DOGE who no one has ever heard of, and make them a new target at the same time.
