Bring Kleenex.
Bright: Pictures of a horse decorate the room of Karina Courtmanche whose health has declined in recent months. For the 79-year-old Connecticut woman, those pictures bring back happy memories of the horse she once rode.
Staying at Mary Wade Home in New Haven for over a year now, on July 9, Ms. Courtmanche was granted her dying wish to see her beloved horse, Bella, one last time.
Ms. Courtmanche had owned Bella since the horse was born, according to Connecticut Hospice nurse Michelle Walker.
Once a registered nurse herself, who trotted the globe making a difference wherever she went, Ms. Courtmanche had always had a happy, chatty personality. MORE
Very nice. I’m glad to see her old horse.
My dying wish is to see traitors brought to justice.
RIP dear Karina 🙏❤️🕊️
Your right…I need a Kleenex 😢
Yaknow after reading this, I reflected on my past relationships with people and animals. Aside from my Mom who was the best and I loved my daughter and do love my sister dearly, the closest I been with any other sentient animal in my life was with my dog Crockett. I’ve have life long dear friends and I do treasure them but when Crockett and I(and my female Annie) were together and it was just the 3 of us for almost 10 years, I knew, I just knew I’d never experience anything like that. If there is a heaven above, I’ll get some time with him again. Man we were simpatico.
😭 I hope all of my horses are waiting for me in Heaven. I’d better pack their favorites treats.
Oh gosh…🥺😢😭
I’m glad it wasn’t a hobby horse.
