In a major legal development, a unanimous 9-0 Supreme Court decision is being used to challenge state-level assault weapon bans. Though the ruling in Smith & Wesson v. Mexico wasn’t directly about the Second Amendment, the Court’s clear language affirming the legality and common ownership of AR-15-style rifles is being cited in the pivotal Miller v. Bonta case. Gun rights advocates argue that California’s ban on semi-automatic rifles based on cosmetic features violates the Constitution.
This video breaks down how this Supreme Court ruling is reshaping Second Amendment battles nationwide, the legal strategies being deployed, and the growing tension in courts like the Ninth Circuit. As states like New York and Illinois face similar challenges, all eyes are on whether lower courts will follow SCOTUS precedent—or be forced to. Don’t miss this deep dive into what could be a defining moment for gun rights in America.

Holly crap. If they get Sotomayor, Kagan, and Numbskull Brown to agree, you know your law is bad.
I foresee a time when every state will have to recognize the validity of the handgun licenses of every other state, just as they must recognize the validity of motor vehicle operator’s licenses from state to state. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the licensing requirements/training for firearms in many states are far more stringent than those for motor vehicle operation (class D and M).
By allowing the progressive/Marxist/Satanists in screwball leftist States to run wild and for Courts of Appeal like the Ninth Circus to rubber stamp what are abject bullshit rulings the left has made it all but impossible for the SCOTUS to not come back hard.
Calm down, everyone. It is established precedent that SCOTUS rulings are merely suggestions and recommendations to the lower courts, who hold the power.
It won’t stop an activist district court judge from issuing an anti-gun ruling tomorrow.
lower-court robe-*******, proceed @ your own risk
I think it is time for local traffic court judges to assert their lawful supremacy over all legislative, judicial and administrative activity at the federal level. That’ll fix ‘em.

I live in Cali and have a Cali permit. But I also have a non resident AZ permit. Good for something like 38 states. There’s not a state left off that I would want to visit. If I had to give uo one of the permits it would be the Cali permit and I’d carry anyway.
