United States Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer and Petty Officer Scott Ruskin, directly saved an astonishing 165 victims in the devastating flooding in central Texas. This was the first rescue mission of his career and he was the only triage coordinator at the scene. Scott Ruskin is an American hero. His selfless courage embodies the spirit and mission of the @USCG.

  1. I watched a video today of a bus full of the girls from Camp Mystic leaving the area to be reunited with their families. They were all singing a beautiful, uplifting song I’m not familiar with. As the bus crossed over one of the bridges above the Guadalupe River, they all paused for a moment as the water below still flowed strong, but they began singing again before the bus left the bridge. You could tell it wasn’t staged. The girls sounded like angels singing. I choked up. If you get a chance to view the video, do it. You’ll feel better knowing these girls are so strong.
