One of my wife’s friends and neighbor also with a large Catholic family had a pet goat that they would take with them everywhere they went for car rides in a great big older Cadillac limousine which was big enough for all their kids. They eventually moved just outside of Sandpoint, Idaho and had a large pig farm on one of the sloughs off of Pend d’ Oreille Lake. We went there once in the early 80’s for a pig roast where they cooked a whole pig outdoors over a spit, it was delicious. My father-in law-also drove an International Travellall for transporting their 9 kids back in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
