The Wisconsin Supreme Court’s newly elected liberal majority on Wednesday voted to strike down a near-total state abortion ban, voting 4-3 to overturn the stringent, 176-year-old law.
The decision reflected a deeply partisan split, with all four liberal justices voting to invalidate the 1849 abortion law and the three conservative justices dissenting.
It also crystallized the impact of the state’s Supreme Court election earlier this year that raked in millions of dollars in donations, the highest amount in U.S. history for a judicial race. It included involvement from then-Trump ally Elon Musk, former President Barack Obama and others.

We just LOVE to kill babies!
Good job, gals! Keep ’em coming!
Baby sacrifice goes back to the beginning of the human race. There is a hillside in Jerusalem where babies were cast into fires. That’s where hell started and to this day there is nothing there. These judges are no better than the barbarians of ancient times, they are not enlightened.
Either new laws supersede old laws or they don’t. This is a matter of statutory construction.
You know what’s most disgusting? Judges who decide issues of procedure or statutory construction or some other technical point of law based on their underlying politics and desires with regard to the substantive issues.
And it looks like it’s operating in this case on both sides.
Judges aren’t legislators.
Just like gay marriage. Foisted on the voters.
Judges seem incapable of staying in their lane.
First they usurp the Executive branch now they usurp the Legislative branch.
Hey, Supremes, you got some stoop sweeping to do.
Tin pot judges, if you want to legislate or be president, run baby run, you unelected ground worms.
