According to Biden, Guns Killed More People Since 2007 Than Communism Killed in 20th Century

WJ: Democrats don’t exactly have the sterling reputation when it comes to accurately representing the issues of gun ownership and gun control.

But a statistic cited Tuesday by former Vice President Joe Biden may just be the most egregious yet.

The moment happened during Tuesday’s Democratic presidential primary debate in Charleston, South Carolina, when Biden was making a point about gun manufacturers.

The former VP was attempting to call out fellow candidate Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders for his supposedly “soft” track record on the issue of gun control.

“My friend to my right and others have in fact also given to the gun manufacturers absolute immunity. Imagine if I stood here and said we give immunity to drug companies, we give immunity to tobacco companies. That has caused carnage on our streets. A hundred and fifty million people have been killed since 2007 when Bernie voted to exempt the gun manufacturers from liability.” read more

  1. Dementia is a terrible thing. Poor Joe needs help that only assisted living in the memory care ward can provide.

  2. Apparently he meant 150k.

Heck – 11,500 children under the age of 1 died in Venezuela in 2016. In just a single socialist* country, in a single year, with a single group of people spanning a single year in age.

*imagine if it were socialism on steroids, aka, communism.

  3. Our Poor Joey misspoke. He really meant to say that guns had killed 15,000,000 people in the United States since 2007. Or, was it 1,500,000 people? It’s no reason to not vote for him in his effort to become a U.S. Senator again. Does he know that Strom Thurmond is going to be very hard to defeat?

    no, really?

“But a statistic cited Tuesday by former Vice President Joe Biden may just be the most egregious yet.”

ok, but it’s hard to beat the term “assault weapon” or “machine gun” when describing semi automatic rifles!

when were we taken over by communists?

  6. You could count all the american deaths of all the wars fought by our country, including the revolutionary war and it couldn’t even get anywhere near that number. Someone needs to intervene for Joe as his legacy will become the political clown show.

  7. 150 million killed by guns since 2007? But Joe, isn’t that when your son Beau was the U.S. Attorney General? I think Beau has some ‘slaining to do!

  8. I think Joe’s trying to give himself a get out of jail free card due to dementia. After all, Ukraine is breathing down his neck.

  9. Here is one stat for Joe. Since Roe v Wade women have wiped out more future humans than all USA wars combined. It only took them a few decades to surpass multiple wars over 200 plus years.

  10. Historical note: the Nazis, in implementing their final solution, murdered approximately six million people in about five years. They devised the gas chambers in large part because it was extremely difficult to murder large numbers of people by shooting them – had the Nazis not institutionalized genocide, the number killed would have been still astronomical, but smaller. Estimates for the numbers killed in World War II – military, civilians, etc. – are about 75 million total and also involved death by bombing, starvation, deprivation, etc. And this was a world war, involving about every continent in the world and with battles on land, in the air, and on and under the sea – with atomic weapons as the cherries on top.

Since 2007, even CNN would have noticed 150 million people shot and killed (and blamed Trump). As it is, our news people have largely ignored the fact that violent crime has decreased dramatically since the 1970s – even with all of those guns laying around waiting to leap into action and shoot someone. But this is the state of our national debate nowadays; politicians and special interests groups can throw around fantastic and unbelievable numbers without anyone questioning anything.
