Federal authorities swept up 264 wanted criminals — including two illegal migrants wanted for sex crimes — as part of a wide-ranging law enforcement crackdown in New Jersey dubbed “Operation Apex Hammer,” which targeted suspects wanted for violent and sexual offenses, including crimes against children, the New York Post reported.

Among those arrested were 17 homicide suspects and 95 known gang members, according to federal officials involved in the operation. Many of the individuals had long criminal histories, with officials reporting a total of 2,625 prior arrests, or roughly 10 per suspect. More

  1. Although the headline is encouraging, the article is lean on details. There are over 10 piror criminal arrests per perp, and only 2 of those arrested (again) are illegals. Of the ones named, each has some very serious charges. Why are they out of jail as they (supposedly) await trial? And how/why are the feds involved?

  2. My assumption is that the Trump Administration has had to completely reorganize federal prosecutor’s office in NJ to stop putting dangerous criminals out on the street and to start picking them up after the damage done to the state by the Biden Administration.
