Americans Laid Off by H-1B, Outsourcing to Rally at White House

Americans who saw their jobs taken by foreign guest workers on the H-1B visa and outsourcing schemes will rally outside the White House before President Trump’s meeting with India’s Prime Minister.

Attorney Sara Blackwell, who represents Americans laid off due to the H-1B visa and outsourcing, has organized the “You’re Fired” rally, named after the recent 60 Minutes special that exposed how American companies hire cheaper foreign workers.

“You got our vote, now we want a voice,” the flyer for the rally reads, as it addresses Trump.

Every year, more than 100,000 foreign workers are brought to the U.S. on the H-1B visa and allowed to stay for up to six years. That number has ballooned to potentially hundreds of thousands each year, as universities and non-profits are exempt from the cap. With more entering the U.S. through the visa, Americans are often replaced and forced to train their foreign replacements.

Outsourcing and offshoring of American has similarly been a detriment to U.S. workers. Blackwell previously told Breitbart Texas that “The offshoring is worse than the visa program.”  more here

  1. Sounds like a reasonable cause to me. Not as fun as giving Pajama Boy Ossoff an electoral atomic wedgie, but it’s a meaningful issue. Free up as many jobs as possible for Americans. I mean, it is our country, right?

  2. Not even 5% of the H-2B visas submitted this year in
    Guam have been approved.
GovGuam is declaring it a disaster and begging at the
State Department and Homeland Security, they are being blown off.
They are telling DOD it will delay the Marines moving here.
But, that does delay when we tip over…..

    It’s hilarious!!!!!

  3. As an electronics engineer I’ve worked for several companies where I was the only American in the department or small company. Yeah, the H1-B is abused up the wazoo for the benefit of tech billionaires.

It’s no only the H1-B holders. Many of them get their green cards within the 3-6 years. Their numbers and low wages discourage American students from studying engineering, creating more demand for H1-Bs.

  4. Major Mal Function — I was in a similar situation where I was the only non-visa member of a team of seven, which included the manager. After a couple of weeks, I was called into the manager’s office. The other team members were complaining that I wasn’t working nights and weekends like they were. I resigned shortly thereafter.

I’m in a situation now where I’m changing jobs and my replacement is an H1-B contractor. The contractor told me that he accepted the position based on the list of duties he was presented prior to interviewing. Now that the company sees the full breadth of my responsibility, they are increasing the contractor’s duties.

The contractor was upset as the additional duties would severely impact his ability to serve his primary role. I told him that it was why I was quitting. He then told me that he can’t say anything because he would be discharged, which would result in him being sent back to India. He can’t ask the agency for a different assignment either. He could go to a different agency but if the current agency learned about it, they would cancel his visa.

H1-B is slave labor–or as close to it as permitted by law. The sad part is that India is such an unbelievable shithole that they will lie, cheat, and steal to be given the chance to sell themselves into such slavery.

  5. This is why universities teach subjects like feminism, women studies, and SJW influenced useless crap.
So large businesses can complain and get foreigners in here to do jobs Americans can’t do.

  6. Good to see Americans are tired of being the World’s bitch and standing up for themselves.
