The wingspan of the A10 Warthog is 57’6″. That’s a nice fit.
“Army to Officially Control Over 11,000 Acres of Land on the Southern Border for 3 Years”….
With a simple RoE; if it’s coming over the fence/across the border, it gets ONE verbal warning to halt/turn around/go back, then is shot.
There is precedent for this: the Army was on the border with Mexico during the early part of the 20th century, including at Camp Furlong Columbus New Mex when Villa attacked in March 1916. So ignore any wailings from the Dems about “militarizing” the border.
It’s the only way to STOP the Mexican side of the border from turning into a Gaza with cartels tunneling into the U.S. with their drugs. And STOP drug mules from poking their bundles of drugs through the bars of the barrier fences.
We’ve all seen the videos of the drug smuggling. The wall does a a good job of stopping illegals from entering, but it’s no match for determined drug smugglers.
With the Army on the land border and the Coast Guard patrolling the Gulf of America, the waters off Florida and the Pacific, this will put a serious dent in stopping the flow of drugs into the U.S. Now they just have to find the guys at the ports who are working with the cartels.
Just for ease in visualizing, 11,000 acres stretched out end-to-end in a long skinny 60 foot strip is a bit over 1,500 miles.
…it also puts us in a good position to conduct drone strikes against the cartels. POTUS Trump is deadly serious about ending them. And, now, with China acting the fool on trade, they’ll probably ramp up their association with the cartels; selling them the component parts of drug manufacturing.
After three years civilian volunteers can take over.
