Twitchy: Today was the start of the Conclave, the process by which Catholic Cardinals vote for a new Pope, following the death of Pope Francis on April 21 at age 88.
The schedule for the first day of the Conclave is different from the rest of the days, with the Cardinals who are eligible to vote only holding one ballot.
That voting started at 7 pm Rome time, or 1 pm Eastern, and all eyes were on the chimney installed at the Sistine Chapel late last week.

I’m pulling for Cardinal Robert Sarah. He’s a conservative, pro life, anti woke and anti immigration. I watched an interview with him where he says he’s concerned about the west because it’s losing it’s roots due to unchecked immigration and once the roots die so does the tree. He’s been labeled a racist, go figure, even though he’s black.

First of all, I’m not Catholic. But I think it’s accurate to say that the Catholic church is probably the largest moral compass in existence. At least for the west. It would be extremely beneficial to get a pope back in there that could restore traditional Catholic values. Especially in Europe. Because those idiots are about toast.

The purpose of a minister, whatever title he has, is to point to God.
When they set the minister in a gilded chair and focus on HIS pronouncements, no matter how antethetical to the Bible they may be, it kind of shifts the focus.
