Conagra Brands has initiated a recall of more than 2.5 million pounds of canned meat and poultry sold nationwide over faulty packaging that could cause contamination.

The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall Tuesday, saying in a statement that the products affected were produced between Dec. 12 and Jan. 12. MORE

  1. Did someone say recalling meat in a can. I’ll get right on that. I have a lot of experience with meat in a can.

  2. That substance doesn’t even go in our emergency food/supplies root cellar. Fancy Feast or Friskies would be a better choice.

  3. Considering all food producing places that are burning down, millions of turkeys and chicken being destroyed, cattle being culled, and now 2.5 million pounds of processed food. Makes you wonder what’s going on

  4. Vienna sausage, hot dogs, baloney, ham salad, brats, sausage, potted meat, braunschweiger and crackers tasted pretty good when we had nothing else to eat. Heck, even popcorn with bacon grease on it was good (didn’t have butter or margarine).
    They still remind me of leaner times, which appear to be rearing its head once again. You’ll eat Vienna Sausage and you’ll like it.
