Americans might find themselves thinking twice about how much chicken they eat after a cohort study in Italy suggested an association between poultry consumption and mortality.

Researchers at the National Institute of Gastroenterology released new research connecting the regular consumption of chicken with increased mortality rates.

Those who eat more than 300 grams [10.58 oz. or about 2/3 of a lbs.] of chicken per week are 27% more likely to die from any cause than those who eat less than 100 grams, according to the study, which was published in the journal Nutrients on April 17. more

  2. According to Rush from years ago everyone that has ever ate a carrot has died. Another worthless study to scare people to death about the food that they eat. Eat what you want in moderation and don’t fall for all the liberal bs about food. OMG, the sky is falling and we’re all going to die.

Exactly. And further more protein is protein. Chicken just happens to be extremely easily digestible protein. Red meat is not. You’d be amazed about the amount of energy required to digest red meat. Not that I don’t eat it 4 times a week.

  4. Nearly 100% of the chickens eaten for dinner are likely to die before being served for dinner.
Tell that to the ‘researchers’ at the NIG.

Because we should all eat more bugs, right?

    Don’t chickens eat bugs?

  5. One of my favorite memories from childhood is of my Granny, who was in her 80s at the time, taking me out to the chicken pen to kill a chicken for dinner. She grabbed one and rang/rung its neck and then sat it down to fetch the pot I think to boil it for plucking or whatever. I was 6 or 8 maybe I don’t remember all the details. All I remember is that tchicken jumping up and running around in circles like it was alive with its head flopping and my Granny screaming like it was come back to haunt her!!!

  7. One of my favorite Paul Harvey stories was the one where a woman was cooking a chicken in the oven, and she started to hear loud clucking coming out of the oven. It turns out that that the chicken’s vocal cords weren’t removed before she started cooking the chicken and the steam rising up thru the chicken’s cavity caused it to cluck unexpectedly. Evidently, she got quite a scare out of that and must have thought she was being haunted by a ghost chicken.

  8. Is it the chicken or the breading, oils, and sugary sauces that are doing the damage? This reads like another globalist, let’s turn everyone into a vegan trans faggot piece of slanted research.
