Chuck Schumer, in screeching 180, now says schools must reopen

BPR: He may not have realized it but Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer just agreed with what President Trump has been saying for some time.

The New York Democrat admitted out loud Friday that schools must reopen in order to help the U.S. economy recover, despite continued Democrat contentions that schools would have to remain closed due to fears over the coronavirus pandemic.

“Chuck Schumer agrees with President Trump that we should open schools!” the caption on the video post on Trump’s YouTube account read on Friday.

“If we don’t open up the schools, you’re going to hurt the economy significantly because lots of people can’t go to work,” Schumer said at a news conference Friday, emphasizing that a “strong testing, tracing and treatment regime” is necessary.

“Executive orders leave out schools altogether,” he added in his remarks criticizing a plan by the president to move forward with an executive order to provide relief to Americans.

“So what happened? Why the sudden 180?” former U.S. Representative for Utah, Jason Chaffetz asked a Fox News panel as he filled in as guest host on “Hannity” Friday. “Donald Trump’s been talking about this for months.” more

  1. Chuckles had a live event on A site I won’t mention but it rhymes with “Race Crook”… anyways… the comments in his feed were so vile And hate filled that I was ashamed to be a Republican… not really. I enjoyed every minute of it and was surprised by the overwhelming dissent to all thing Chuckles.

  2. Make no doubt about it. The demoncrats are up to no good. The plan is to test all children for covid-19 then impose restrictions upon parents – – wearing masks at home, quarantining, and going so far as to demand vaccination or they confiscate your kid.

  3. I can’t help but think they are setting a trap.

After all, how many times have they ever agreed with ANYTHING Trump has said or wanted??

  5. We all know the minute they go back to class and college there will be positive cases and they’ll do a full push to revert to a full closure. Along with making it Trumps fault someone got sick. Blah blah blah. They don’t care about Americans and the economy. Testing is just going to get them the narrative they need to try to force a step backwards to tank economy AGAIN.

  6. This is off-topic some but I think Trump should impose a mandate against all politicians investing in any/all vaccines for four years from now. That would take the enthusiasm down from pro “testers”
