Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s stunt today to force a read-aloud of the full 940-page ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ was not only a waste of time and taxpayer money, but it ended up backfiring spectacularly.

Congress critters should read entire bills before they vote on them. They don’t is the problem. Schmuck is as guilty of this as any other congress critter. Bills should be on a single topic not crammed full of pork and other unrelated items.
If he wants it read, make Schumer do the reading.
I’m all in favor of every single bill being read out before a vote is held. And skipping out of the reading is grounds for removal from office. And the writers of the bill DEFINITELY have to be on hand the entire time to explain what certain sections actually mean and why they were included. There’d be a lot fewer bills, and it’d be hard as hell to sneak some of the shit they foist on us.
This maggot is worth almost ten million dollars, despite never working as a “public servant”. Pelosi is worth over 400 million dollars, despite working as a “public servant”. In other words, they’re all doing insider trading and sucking money out of honest markets for their own pockets. This, in addition to the graft they’re taking that we don’t know about.
Word has it that Schumer first asked Ketanji Jackson Brown (I know, it’s Brown-Jackson, but I just wanted to give her the (dis)respect that she deserves) to read the bill, but she couldn’t understand the definition of a woman, so she declined.
What happened to “you have to pass it to find out what’s in it”??

Bills are mostly written by “special interest groups” and delivered to the House and Senate completely intact with how each Representative and Senator is supposed to vote. The “special interest groups” are the money-maggots behind all the slimy shit (and slimy politicians) in DC. No single klown sits down and types out a 940 pg. Bill, nor a 1250 pg. Bill. JustPassinThru is absolutely correct in that each and every Bill should be a single subject Bill. And I would add: of no more than 3-5 pages. Politicians throw out words to obfuscate, dissemble, lie, deceive, and misdirect attention from their grafts and corruptions.
