CNN announced Tuesday that it would pull the plug on its long-running Airport Network, causing jubilation among many of the network’s critics on social media.

Network President Jeff Zucker announced the CNN Airport Network will officially end on March 31, citing a “deep decline in airport traffic because of COVID-19, coupled with all the new ways that people are consuming content on their personal devices.”

  1. Weren’t they paying the airports to get the TV monopoly?
So, for the last 10 months nobody was watching all those TVs and Sucker was paying for it?
    That’s so funny…

  2. Nobody is flying, so the advertisers pulled the ad money. If it wasen’t for cable bundling, the Communist News Network would have already gone the way of the dodo.

  3. Jethro, indeed cnn pays an airport concession fee. Good riddance. Since there market value is tanking as quickly as the market value of fox, it’s gratifying to see.

  4. now i wont have to spoon fling rice pudding at the TV screens anymore.
i wasted a whole lot of rice pudding these past few decades in airports.
