Corporations Backing Away from Pride Month

Townhall

In a significant shift from previous years, several major corporations have scaled back or withdrawn their support for Pride Month events. Companies such as Anheuser-Busch, Diageo, and Comcast have cited budget constraints and a challenging political environment as reasons for their decisions not to donate money to Pride groups ahead of Pride Month, a monthlong event celebrating LGBTQ+ people despite them claiming they don’t want to be treated any differently. The retreat follows a broader trend of businesses reevaluating their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs amid increasing scrutiny and backlash from the Trump administration. As a result, LGBTQ+ advocacy groups and event organizers face financial shortfalls and logistical challenges, highlighting the growing divide between corporate strategies and grassroots activism. More

  1. I give it another year or so and the word “activist” will become an epithet. Then the oblowme era of that warm, fuzzy viper of a phrase, “community organizer” will finally be destroyed, too.

  3. Weak minded companies jumping the gun, hoping to be ahead of the latest fad, finding out they were following the bull-shiters then wanting to turn their shit around when they actually see their business go south.

  4. Proud of what, exactly?

  5. My “brother from another mother” is gay and he is totally disgusted with the whole Pride thing. As he said, it went from Pride Day, to Pride Week and now Pride month. He lives in Toronto and make a point to always be out of town during Pride Week. Mind you, he is a businessman and a solid Conservative.
