Democrats’ Claim About Giuliani Phone Call In Doubt: Report

Daily Caller: Doubts are emerging about House Democrats’ claim in an impeachment report released Tuesday regarding a series of phone calls Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani allegedly had with someone in the Office of Management and Budget, which oversaw a freeze on military aid to Ukraine.

The phone number Democrats attributed to OMB is likely not associated with the office, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Instead, the phone number in question, (202) 395-0000, is a generic phone number that is also linked to the White House political affairs office, and the U.S. Trade Representative’s offices, according to TheWSJ, which obtained the phone number from sources familiar with the impeachment report. OMB officials have said that Giuliani’s call was not with any officials at the office.

The revelation deals a significant blow to one of the more eye-catching pieces of information in Democrats’ impeachment report.

I know I’m not the right person to SAY it, but that’s too long. All you need is:

    “Democrats’ Claim In Doubt”

…and, since EVERYTHING they say is a demonstrable lie, it fits every utterance they make, individually or collectively…

“Was 867-5309 in there talking to Jenny?”

…no, but the President was humming it the other day, which the Democrats immediately ruled as a copyright violation, and therefore an impeachable offence…

“Was 867-5309 in there talking to Jenny?”

…although it should be noted at this juncture that 867-5309 is Jenny’s number, so it wouldn’t be logged CALLING her: however, check Hillary’s server, she’d be FAR more likely to call a woman based on a bathroom wall scrawling, and it being a MEN’S bathroom would not deter her at ALL…

“Jenny, Jenny, who can I turn to?
You give me somethin’ I can hold on to
I know you think I’m like the others before
Who saw your name and number on the wall

    Jenny, I got your number
I need to make you mine
    Jenny, don’t change your number

…which would matter if facts were of any moment, but nothing the Democrats have done since they STARTED this clambake 3 years ago has ANYTHING to do with, you know, facts and law and stuff…

  7. The Clintons had a dead-drop phone back in the 90s but President Trump can’t have one in the 21st Century?
    What’s up with that?

This is a coup attempt to upend the Constitution and tyrannize America – there are NO rules of engagement! The sad fact is that the Republicans don’t realize it, yet – they’re still clinging to that old “loyal opposition” chestnut.

FFS! We’re drowning in mendacity and we continue to pretend that everything’s normal!

What does that even mean, WSJ? Sounds really bad for Giuliani and the WH. Let’s try this:

Much clearer, no? This is why we have doubts about you, WSJ.

  9. Alexander Hamilton explained that impeachment was not designed to cover only criminal violations, but also crimes against the American people. “The subjects of its jurisdiction,” Hamilton wrote, “are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust. They are of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated political, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself.”

This is a standard for impeachment cited in the impeachment report (but not in the Constitution). If applied to the House of Representatives and the Senate, we would have about 200 members of the House left in office and about 25 Senators. Schiff, Pelosi, Ocasio-Cortez, Waters, Jackson, Harris, Warren – all gone from public office.

As tempting as it is to agree with Schiff and apply this standard, it would be not be workable because we elect so many egotistical, self-centered and corrupt legislators that we would not really ever have many public officials qualified to serve a complete term of office. Which, come to think of it, may not be a bad thing.

This time round DeNiro could play the Adam Schiff part, without needing to do any acting. Just be himself.
