EST: The Los Angeles Times reports two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies who were shot in an apparent ambush in Compton Saturday evening are out of surgery and expected to survive. Sheriff Alex Villanueva described the condition of the wounded officers as a “double miracle,” according to the newspaper. A $100,000 reward for information leading to arrest of suspect has been issued.
