Do News Anchors Have A Right To Bare Arms?

First Canadian Female PM Denounces Sleeveless Dresses On News Anchors.

(No, not Justin Trudeau. The other one.)

Daily Caller: Canada’s first and only female prime minister denounced sleeveless dresses on news anchors Tuesday.

Kim Campbell, who was a Conservative prime minister after the resignation of Brian Mulroney in 1993, tweeted her outrage, insisting “bare arms undermine credibility and gravitas.”

“I am struck by how many women on television news wear sleeveless dresses- often when sitting with suited men. I have always felt it was demeaning to the women and this suggests that I am right,” Campbell wrote on Twitter. “Bare arms undermine credibility and gravitas!”

  1. Blame Moochell O. She of the No Sleeve dresses.

Everyone swooned over her ripped biceps and so she set the standard “of beauty” **cough* and women started to emulate her.

If you notice now many dresses at award shows are emulating Melania’s coat “drape” over the shoulders-but don’t tell the Stars that Melania was the muse for those dress designs.

  2. Now they are going to ruin the news. If I have to hear all those depressing stories can’t they be read by an attractive woman with not too much clothing?

  3. In my opinion, nothing says “professionalism” like an attractive female anchor going topless. Fight against that patriarchy, baby. Take all the attention away from those bastards dressed in tailored suits. And I might not like your spin on the news, but I’ll learn to ignore that while I tune in.

  4. Of course, they have the right to bare arms, and legs and most of the boobs and anything else they can partially bare and can get away with After all that is why they were hired in the first place!

  5. Sooooo … women shouldn’t have the right to wear whatever they fuckin choose?
But their apparel should be dictated by the political “fashion police?”
    Shades of Sharia!

You’ve come a long way, baby.
