Former Republican congressman George Santos, who GOP colleagues ousted, was sentenced to 87 months in prison for wire fraud and identity theft.
Federal prosecutors asked for an 87-month custodial sentence, and his legal team asked for a two-year sentence.
The government submitted a list of Santos’s recent social media posts as evidence to prove he was “unrepentant for his crimes.”

The usual over-sentencing for a republican. A black dude in NYC gets less time for rape, since it’s always a white victim.
If he were a democrat, he’d never have been charged. Not that I disagree with such a punishment for any transgressor, regardless of ideological bent. Equal treatment under the law (cue the laugh track now).
Arrogant little prick, ain’t he? I’m conservative and I expect ALL public employees, especially elected officials to behave accordingly and obey our laws.
