Good news: Ric Grenell won’t return to Berlin as US ambassador

American Thinker:

By Thomas Lifson

Having proven himself a gutsy, crafty, fearless warrior able to engage and stare down the worst the Deep State has to offer as acting DNI, bigger things lie ahead for Ric Grenell than a return to his “mere” ambassadorship to the dominant power in Europe.  For almost anyone else, a position like ambassador to Germany could be a career capstone, a high honor, a memory to cherish for one’s remaining days.  But for Ric Grenell, it is too small a job to return to.

Ross Krasny of Bloomberg reports:

Ric Grenell, a favorite of President Donald Trump, confirmed in a tweet on Sunday that he plans to step down as U.S. ambassador to Germany. (snip)

“True,” Grenell, 53, tweeted Sunday in response to a Politico report that he plans to depart the post in Berlin, where he’s been stationed since May 2018. The German news agency DPA reported the news earlier.

Grenell has also served since October 2019 as special envoy for peace talks between Serbia and Kosovo.

His departure from Berlin was anticipated for some time. Grenell’s next possible moves within the Trump administration or outside are unclear.

Here is a hint as to what lies ahead for Ambassador Grenell, coming from President Trump’s interview with another fearless figure, Sharyl Attkisson:

When you look at what Richard Grenell has done in eight weeks, these people didn’t do anything for two and a half years. They should have been exposing this. So I’m very disappointed in certain people. And some people have done a phenomenal job, but what am I doing? I’m fighting the deep state. I’m fighting the swamp. And I said I was doing it. And I’m exposing the swamp. I think if it keeps going the way I’m going, and Ratcliffe is fantastic. If it keeps going the way it’s going, I have a chance to break the deep state. It’s a vicious group of people. It’s very bad for our country. And that’s never happened before. You happen to be a victim of the deep state.

I like the sound of a promise to “break the deep state.”  And Ric Grenell is the kind of guy to play a role in breaking it. more

  1. I adore this man. I have watched him since Red Eye 8 years ago. He is an American jem. He is deserving of being called Mr. President. He has always said he is an American loyalist, a believer in the constitution. People can call him a gueer, fag, etc., I call him brother. His sexuality has never been his issue or identity.
I would vote for him in any capacity. He doesn’t parade his partner, just like straight folks. He does not believe being gay is the norm, and is a sin, and that is his burden to bear, he keeps it out of my face, and I keep it out of my judgements.
Private activities of consenting adults, is not my problem.

  2. He made a great entrance, looks like a keeper at present. Deep state will hate him and that will be great oversight.

  3. Head of the FBI would be a suitable job. With a Navy Seal protection detail of course.

And being Gay has it’s advantages when dealing with Libtards.

  4. What @Pearl Clutcher said, times 1,000!

I’ve been immensely impressed by Amb. Grenell and would love to see him continue to be a prominent figure in the battle to slay the deep state dragon.

  5. Grenell just declassified a bunch more Russia documents. It’s up to Ratcliffe to release them. An early test for Ratcliffe, I hope he doesn’t fuck it up.

  6. This man stands alone thus far as one who’s done the most so far to expose these scum.
I’m a bit worried that his replacement was too eagerly confirmed after having been viciously rejected earlier. I have no fault with him but it’s suspicious. There must be a reason they prefer him over Grenell.
Hopefully the declassifications will speed along.

  7. Grenell has shown he has strength and courage to do what needs to be done. I applaud him for what he has done so far and there are more productive jobs for him than being an Ambassador. Deep State must be unseated.

  8. Trump gets some great people with strong spines who don’t cower and hide every time some libidiot calls them names.
They get more done than entire administrations in short periods of time.
Grenell has proven that things can get done quickly in DC.

  9. I am of mixed minds about this story.
Not that Mr. Grenell is probably moving to bigger and better things (he should), but rather the statement ” For almost anyone else, a position like ambassador to Germany could be a career capstone, a high honor, a memory to cherish for one’s remaining days. But for Ric Grenell, it is too small a job to return to” in the story. This is the kind of language used by the deep state to explain why they should remain.

  10. Don’t care that he’s gay but do care that he’s a competent, fearless fighter for the American people. I look forward to many years of Grenell’s service.

  11. PDJt should have a CZAR of Deep State Removal, Grenell would be perfect for the position until the indictments come down for the cabal, then what ever else needs his professional work.

  12. Reading these comments, it is very obvious to me that many people on this site care more about a persons competency and character than they do about their sexuality.

    I fully agree.

I regularly point out that Donald has many extremely competent women in key positions but it falls on deaf libtard ears. Funny enough , they usually resort to sexual innuendo.

  13. Addendum: How many homosexuals did they kill as well?? In their process to be the greatest, the purest? While some were homosexual themselves while doing that?

The Germans tend to hate themselves, especially now with the mass mid eastern legal immigration. It won’t end well so they will start yet another war.

They have always been desperate, in a Teutonic way. The Germans even attacked ‘a fellow thinking’ Norway because it was not pure enough for them, not Aryan enough.

  14. Should Rick Grinnell become the FBI Director heads will explode. Perps will frog march their way outa da buildin’.

The man has intellect and guts. Pay attention Jeff Sessions.
