Not only had the Obama administration begun deporting Haitians after a six-year humanitarian pause, but President Trump also had just been elected, presaging an even tougher policy.
Many of those en route, such as the hundreds staged at migrant camps in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, figured they had gone that far and had little to lose by trying to finish the journey north.
But for the tens of thousands of Haitians in Brazil, Chile and elsewhere in South America who had been planning to journey north, the news was devastating. In a matter of weeks, the northward stream of people dried up. continued

It would be interesting if the Haitian government managed to put together enough of a case to issue an arrest warrant for Bill, Hillary, Roger Clinton as well as any of the companies that got contracts that were never fulfilled. The make official extradition requests to the US government. With Trump in charge I wonder how long it would be before the Clintons and a large bag of loot skedaddle of a country without an extradition treat with Haiti.
I hope the remaining 3% flow includes ninja macumba voodoo teams coming to the US to turn Slick Willie and H-Rod into banana slugs.

@anonymous, burner; There’s no doubt that people in the Haitian government got a taste of the cash flowing through the country but think for a moment what would happen if they were offered a shot at getting their hands on the Clintons which would mean all those billions coming back to Haiti in order to get a suspended sentence for the Clinton Mafia. This allows them to get an even bigger taste. Hell it might even spark a real revolution in that god forsaken country.
