The GOP-led House Budget Committee voted to reject a sweeping package for President Donald Trump’s agenda on Friday, dealing an embarrassing setback for Republican leaders.
The vote in the Budget Committee was 16-21, with five conservative hard-liners joining all Democrats in voting against the multitrillion-dollar legislation. After the vote tally was read, Rep. Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, the committee chair, adjourned the hearing and told members they would not be meeting again this weekend.
Negotiations with the GOP holdouts will continue in the coming days and Republicans on the panel will try to regroup as soon as Monday. More

Exactly, and guess who shows up again to wreck the day? Chips ahoy Roy. That guys a very large piece of doo doo.
I read that the Democrats/RINOs made changes to the bill that would allow illegal aliens access to Medicaid and a few other things that were the opposite of what President Trump wanted.
I tried to find where I read that, but can’t locate it. It may not be true, but not sure.
The Rs that oppose this bill remember the last time we had a chance to stop the insane deficit spending with the same old shit promises that always begin with “next time” At some point these crazy Rs that want a $50T National Debt have got grow some balls, know that they’ll be vilified like a flesh eating virus and shut down this GD government to get some fiscal sanity.
And a shutdown is exactly what the Uniparty DOES NOT want as it’ll reveal that this massive & bloated government is 90%+ unneeded.
If the bill is “allowing” another $5T of fairy dust money to be released into our economy, bet your ass it’s going to be much fookin’ more.
Couple this BS with the initial expectations of DOGE shooting for $2T in spending cuts now down to what? Less than $200B? I’ll tell you one thing, this is not what the majority of MAGA voters wanted.
^ Isn’t it amazing – if you stop and think about it – that in this age of incredible technology, “government” SHOULD be costing LESS AND LESS over time, not more and more.

But you are only looking at one side of the equation. Big picture the United States is just another business. Money in, money out. There’s two way to attack that deficit, decrease spending, or increase revenue. I’m pretty confident if we can get Trumps economic plan all the way instituted revenue is going to sky rocket. His tariffs are already working. From my vantage point I already see manufacturing booming.
I mho the congress critters main job is to pass an actual budget that matches revenues. They should have to do that before any other legislation is allowed to be considered. Never going to happen, but a one term limit would be ideal.
I also read that no tax on social security was removed.
Johnson sucks at wrangling RINOs
Looking at the US as just a another business is too simplistic. Money in and money out works for businesses but not here when there are literally a 1,000+ agencies in government working their own agendas that directly conflict with the will of the people.
Imagine a business wallowing in debt and bringing in efficiency experts to cut costs(the money out) because some members of the Board are allowing funding for policies antithetical to the operation of the corporation. And then these experts are vilified. What stockholder in their right mind is going to continue to invest in something like that.
Cutting the waste(the money out) rather than addressing the problem and banking on additional revenues to cover idiotic behavior is crazy. CUT OUT THE FUCKING BLEEDING. You’re giving the green light to more deficit spending, the vast bulk of which is being used to fund policies that are undermining our culture, values and traditions.
The proper approach is eliminating institutions like Dept/Education or USAID. Ramping up the money in is definitely not a solution.
