  1. Owners and those who process the illegals “paperwork” are on the hook for knowingly (and abetting)accepting illegals’ fraudulent documents (SSNs, etc), and falsifying I-9s. Or employing illegals under the table/off the books. The only legal way for companies to use alien workers is through Guest Worker programs.

It is not a victimless crime to forge SSN documents or other identity documents. These documents allow illegal aliens to make fraudulent claims on other tax-paid monies.

Companies whose majority work force is made up of illegal aliens usually undercut the price of services (trades, landscapers) because they pay their workers less, thus creating markets in which legitimate companies, with legitimate overhead, cannot compete.

  2. In WA there was a big bust of a roofing company in Bellingham. They got about 60% of their workforce — all illegals.

In a recent report, there are now about 1300 illegals being detained at the ICE facility in Tacoma. I don’t know how many other ICE detention centers are in WA.

  3. Fresh out of college I worked briefly at a large heat treating plant that always got the warning phone call that Immigration was coming. Supervisors would scurry around grabbing half the employees and take them out to the west side of the property to hide them until the “Inspection” was over. Early 70’s

  4. Around Portland, Oregon there’s one landscaping company that advises illegals how to forge their papers and hires them; been doing so for 25+ years

  5. @paraclesus — Make a tip on the ICE/DHS tip line. Or, better yet, find out who your regional investigator in charge is and let them know. ICE/DHS will want as much specific info as you can give them — name of company, address of company, etc.

  6. The biggest proponents of the rights of illegal aliens to remain here as undocumented workers are the same ones who will buy Chinese knock-offs of authentic, patent-protected, American goods. They don’t care that China stole from American entrepreneurs or that what they’re buying is made with cheap labor, or that the product may contain toxins. They just want to pay as little as possible and not feel so bad when their Chinese crap is soon thrown in a landfill.
