It’s another one of these tests that divide people into separate camps

What do you hear?

Laurel or Yanny?

I think it has to do with your speakers, the volume and if you give a $hit.

For the record, of heard Yarry and then nothing but Laurel. I never heard Yanny.

  1. “Yanny” was what I heard first but then it became prominently “Laurel.” I can hear both at the same time, actually. My wife hears “yanny,” and she’s always right.

  2. All I heard was Laurel, although to be fair I couldn’t care less if it was Yanny. I’m more concerned about the fact that when playing it backward, it sounded like my dog demanding I take out the postman.

  3. heard nothing but ‘Laurel’ … but it’s a Hearing Test to try to understand what you don’t hear … & I don’t hear A LOT! …. understand?
… btw, what was that 2 beats at the end, alternately loud in one & soft in the next?

    … & I can’t stand that flute guy, Yanni

  4. If I say i didn’t hear a thing, do I get free hearing aids? Sure would save me a bundle, ya know!

  5. All I heard is what my wife sounds like; “wha wha wha”
Kinda like the adults in the Charlie Brown Christmas special.

  6. I heard Laurel the whole time. I was waiting for a scream near the end to give me a start, but was glad they didn’t. I would have had a heart attack!

  7. These tests are testing AI on us…

    Yanni for the record!

    @ RTF funnnie
@ ML I was trying to remember why that name sounded familiar!

  8. Yarry on the PC, Laurel on the laptop. My ears refuse to hear it any other way. Playing it on both at the same time, I can focus on one or the other.

  9. Yesterday I heard “Yanny” at first, but the more I played it, the more it sounded like “Yaurel”. Today I can only hear “Laurel”, no matter how many times I try it. I don’t understand what’s going on here.

All I know is that Raymond Shaw is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful
human being I’ve ever known in my life.
