Joe Rogan says he’s ‘sticking with Jesus’, questions Big Bang theory

Post Millennial: Podcast host Joe Rogan has once again expressed growing interest in Christianity during recent episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience, telling guests he finds the idea of Jesus Christ increasingly compelling—and even more logical than scientific explanations for the origins of the universe, like the Big Bang.

In a conversation with writer and TikToker Cody Tucker, Rogan said, “I’m sticking with Jesus, Jesus makes more sense. People have come back to life.” The comment came during a philosophical discussion on the nature of existence, time, and creation. “It’s funny because people will be incredulous about the resurrection of Jesus Christ but yet they’re convinced that the entire universe was smaller than a head of a pin and that for no reason that anyone has adequately explained to me, instantaneously became everything? Okay,” Rogan said. read more

  1. …and another thing. Time only exists for us. The Bible says we cannot begin to comprehend his power, or his being. You cannot question what was before the Big Bang, etc.

  2. it’s not enough to just say that you believe in G-d/Jesus;
    you must be able to see (and appreciate/thank H-m for) the miracles G-d performs every single day

  3. Your definition of profane as it relates to the proclamation of the name of God is puzzling. Do you somehow leave the vowel sounds out when you speak His name, too? And, btw, not trying to be smart-alecky; genuinely curious.

  4. I understand (I think)
    I prefer employing “The Creator” when speaking, which is generally not well understood by all, whereas I use G-d when writing.
    I do not go to any “House of G-d”: I have never witnessed H-s presence in one; instead I say a short prayer every morning and evening:
    AM: “Thank you O L-rd for allowing me to witness the miracles Y-u are going to perform this coming day.”
    Similar in the evening prior to retiring for the night, just a change in the verb.

  5. As I used to argue with one of my “count the begat’s” relatives… Two important things:

    1. At no point does scripture define how long Adam & Eve were in the garden. It mentions God creating everything in 6 days, and then resting. It also mentions in other verses that a day to God is as a thousand years or something similar, but doesn’t offer details. For all we know, it’s still day 7, He’s still resting. Not going to dwell on it much.

    2. Time is part of creation. This can be proven. If I put a atomic clock on a satellite and orbit say Mercury. It will drift in time against an atomic clock here on Earth very precisely due to the closer influence of the Sun’s gravity. Well proven, well studied… We have the math pretty much dialed in save for extreme edge cases like black holes and unknowns in the early expansion phase. Time itself is simply part of the Universe. Then the Book of Job comes into play… One of the essential take away’s from Job: God is not subject to his creation. His will overrides any of the clockwork of the Universe He see’s fit to modify.

    And at the end of it all… I don’t need to be right in every detail. Just forgiven.

  6. And God said “Light” and there was light.
    That was the “Big Bang” – existence from non-existence – true “creation” in the fullest meaning of The Word.

    Physics can describe the state of the Universe 1 nano-micro-millisecond AFTER the “Big Bang” but is completely silent on the state of the Universe 1 nano-micro-millisecond PRIOR to the “Big Bang.”
