Kurds Strike Deal With Russia, Assad To Stop Turkey

OAN: The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have struck a deal with Russia and the Assad government to protect Kurdish areas from an offensive by the Turkish military. Assad’s forces are backed by the Russian military and will be deployed along the Syrian-Turkish border to halt the bloodshed.

The announcement comes amid the ongoing withdrawal of U.S. troops. The Pentagon is expecting all U.S. troops to be removed within the next few days.

“I don’t think our soldiers should be there for the next 50 years guarding a border between Turkey and Syria when we can’t guard our own borders at home,” said President Trump.

Recent reports claimed the president’s decision to withdraw from Syria would hand the war-torn country over to Russia and its allies. Peacekeeping efforts in Syria have become increasingly costly for all those involved, including the U.S. Moscow is trying to limit its own military involvement by seeking a negotiated solution between Ankara and the Kurds. read more

  1. Let them stay there for 100 years while we make our own country stronger.
That area will always be fighting with each other.

  2. Nice, another Afghanistan for the Russians, bring our troops home.
I have fought in a stupid political war instigated by politicians.
They put us there and then abandoned us to lose.
About time the insurgents got a little of their own medicine.
We are energy independent, the last reason to be there has burned.
The people we need to fight to maintain our Constitutional rights, right down the street now.

  3. Good. Let Russia deal with them. Trump can pay a visit to our new embassy in Jerusalem and knock back a few drinks while thinking about how Putin has to baby sit these assholes.

  4. Where the Hell are the German and French governments in stopping Turkey’s inhumane activities?
You know, the fellow NATO allies?
How is the USA responsible for all this?

  6. …and, on the border thing, note the fourth from last line of the Air Force song…

“Off we go into the wild sky yonder,
    Keep the wings level and true;
If you’d live to be a grey-haired wonder
Keep the nose out of the blue! (Out of the blue, boy!)
Flying men, guarding the nation’s border,
We’ll be there, followed by more!
In echelon we carry on. Hey!
    Nothing’ll stop the U.S. Air Force! ”

    …THE nation’s border, not A nation’s border. Interesting, that…

  7. One of the many long range effects of the peace treaties of 1919 post WWI. Trying to make one country out of three (or was it two?) separate peoples that hate each other.

  8. Remember all those misplaced military votes in the last Presidential election? Hopefully, more troops will be voting stateside.
