    …I am not, but I DO work with some.

    Did you know its an automatic Death Penalty crime to kill a USDA inspector? Not that Ive ever thought about it, but apparently SOME folks have because they can very easily destroy your business (especially if you half-ass everything), so they made it EXTRA illegal to kill one.

    To which I have the same problem.

    It absolutely SHOULD be an automatic Death Penalty crime to kill a USDA inspector.

    or any OTHER human being as well.

    …they keep carving out classes where they should NOT. Killing a person who kills a human goes all the way back to the Old Testament, and we USED to understand that in THIS country too.

    It is only in the last century they moved away from that.

    …and I think we can all judge the results for ourselves…

    …you are correct. “Murder” and “Killing” are not the same thing, especially in the Bible, and I used the wrong word.

    No one deserves to be murdered, but some folks need killing, is about the best I can understand that.

    …this article is a bit glib, but does have the deets. Also, it says “Horse Inspectors” too, but these are a branch of the Army Medical Corps called AVI that employs Veterinary Food Inspection Specialists (MOS 68R) that does this…

    “As a Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist, you’ll be in charge of food safety, quality assurance, and protection from unintentional or intentional contamination of food consumed by Soldiers. You’ll also be responsible for supervising food inspection and combined veterinary service activities. You’ll be at the forefront of food safety and defense, using statistical sampling methods to ensure food items are inspected for freshness, proper storage and delivery, and packaged according to the Department of Defense standards.”

    We have them here too, as we make rations for the military, They basically do the same thing for the military, and so enjoy the same protections.

    …the murderer was stressed over the introduction of HACCP, which WAS quite stressful (I lived it!) and the implementation of new regs and a TON more compliance needs was apparenrtly too much for him, mentally and financially, but no excuse for what HE did.

    …So again, this WAS a good use of the Death Penalty.

    Its just that it should apply for ALL…
