Mental Health “Experts” Fear Secretary Kennedy’s Investigation into Psychiatric Drugging

AbleChild: Within a few weeks of Donald Trump’s inauguration, the President signed an Executive Order establishing the Make America Healthy Again Commission (MAHA), which, among other things, will be “assessing the prevalence of and threat posed by the prescription of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs), antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, stimulants and weight-loss drugs.” In other words, officialdom finally is looking at the out-of-control unscientific chemical experimentation used to address unwanted behaviors.

Alert the media! Get Megyn Kelly on the phone! Finally, a governmental body will be looking into the serious risks associated with prescription mind-altering drugs. It’s decades in the making. But, as they say, “better late than never.”  It was no surprise then that within a month of that announcement the mental health industry was none too pleased and released a “joint statement” about the wonders of its mind-altering chemical elixirs.

According to the statement, “these drugs provide relief for many young people enabling them to participate fully in treatment, school, social activities, and family life — all key aspects of healthy development.” Utter nonsense.  more

  1. Drug shrinks on drugs:

…these drugs provide relief for many young people enabling them to participate fully in treatment, school, social activities, and family life — all key aspects of healthy development.

And it’s only some of them who kill themselves or go on mass murder sprees so what’s the big deal?

And besides, we all need new Lamborghinis.

  3. The kids today are frequently given “Miracle” drugs, it’s a miracle they survive.
In the olden days (50s & 60s) no kids were on psychotropic drugs to alter behavior, mood, thoughts, or perception.

I had many events administered by my Dad to alter my behavior and my perception what was right and wrong. I am grateful to this day for the direction he provided. God only knows where I would have been without his Love and discipline.
Yeah, I didn’t receive any coddling or participation trophies, either.
What I earned is what I got or didn’t get.

  4. I can’t remember who said it, but a very successful guy who was raised by his grandmother claimed that she cured his ADD by a trip to the woodshed.

  5. Is Ritalin considered to be a psychotropic drug? Or just an excuse to drug bored kids who hate school (prescribed by the school shrinks) and who can’t sit still and are supposedly hyperactive as a means of control. It was just another reason that I hated school because I was bored shitless because I was a self-learner, could read and write better than almost everyone else in my class with a few exceptions because I was taught to read phonetically by my mom and my 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Benham in the early 60’s.

  6. Same here, a good ass whooping and paddling which I deserved at times was a great motivator to do better. And don’t even get me started on my old school grandfather who didn’t put up with any shit from any of his many grandkids, he was the ultimate enforcer. In junior HS in the mid 60’s the gym teachers had the paddles (AKA the board of education) and weren’t afraid to use it on unruly students in gym class.

  7. I have heard it said that in general, the people who study psychiatry or psychology do so to try and figure out their own mental problems. That, and it’s an easy medical-sounding major in college for people who don’t know why they are there. I reckon the drugs aspect is also attractive now.

When I was in college, there was a major facility, built in the 70s, which was very symmetrical and modern, built on a large plaza with two identical classroom buildings, East and West, and two identical auditoriums, North and South. It was known as the PJ complex: one building was for Psychology and the other one? I think you can guess.

So I expect that the journos will be firefighting hard for their brain pharma brethren against RFKJ and MAHA.

  8. Since the schools are “dumbed down” (started dumbing them down circa 1955 and completed by circa 1970) any kid with any sense at all is bored to tears in the schoolroom and drugs are the only way to have him sit through all the bullshit and indoctrination.

And drugs open the minds of the pliable brats to the indoctrination techniques utilized by the union maggots who call themselves “teachers.”

And don’t kid yourselves, this is life-long destruction to the mentally weak – when you run across an unemployed, grossly overweight 45 y/o guy living with his mom, and obsessed with electronic gadgets and video games, you can bet he was a Ritalin child.

  9. I find it interesting that the ‘big pharm’ industry touts the effectiveness and benefits of their ‘mind altering’ drugs, stating they change the mood and behaviour of their users. And then magically they deny the possibility of any negative effects from their use, extended or short term.

  10. hey- thalidomide, originally for depression and mood elevation, was a big money maker, too.
“Thalidomide was first marketed in 1957 in West Germany, where it was available over-the-counter.[9][10] When first released, thalidomide was promoted for anxiety, trouble sleeping, “tension”, and morning sickness.[10][11]”

  11. These drugs do have their therapeutic uses and can be helpful under the right circumstances and under close medical supervision. The problem us they are handed out like candy for minor complaints. Similar to “medical” marijuana.
