Missing Matter Found

Scientists previously had determined the total amount of ordinary matter using a calculation involving light observed that was left over from the Big Bang event roughly 13.8 billion years ago that initiated the universe. But they could not actually find half of this matter.

“So the question we’ve been grappling with was: Where is it hiding? The answer appears to be: in a diffuse wispy cosmic web, well away from galaxies,” said Harvard University astronomy professor Liam Connor, lead author of the study published on Monday in the journal Nature Astronomy. More

Meanwhile Swiss scientists propose the existence of a 5th Force to help round up the Unified Theory. Here

  2. They may have found the missing matter but is it enough to pull the universe back together billions of years in the future for another big bang and restart of creation or is there not enough and the universe will keep expanding and cooling until all the stars go out and all existence goes into perpetual darkness infinity cold.

Kinda makes you think, doesn’t it.

  3. 1 Kings 8:12 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud.” Psalm 18:11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him – the dark rain clouds of the sky. Psalm 97:2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

Maybe it’s not so “metaphorical”. “Light” has no meaning, means nothing, unless it dwells in, i.e. contrasts, with the dark. Just a thought. Ancient peoples looked up and thought they saw a ceiling of sorts, the firmament, with something above it. But…

    We are still ignorant primitives.
