Frameless exhibition London: ‘The storm on the Sea of Galilee’
SNIP: I wish they didn’t add the music and only played water/storm noises instead.
Look at me. I’m an art critic now. lols

  1. Amazing. I’m older and wiser now and don’t go out in weather like that. Well not anymore. 😉
I’d take my grandchildren to that though once there old enough. Wouldn’t want to scar them for life and be afraid of the water.

  2. I had an experience (but not THAT bad) in the Med back in the day (1993) on a ferry from Crete to (Piraeus) Athens (and back). I laughed because I never noticed that the tables and chairs were bolted down until then.

Worse! They played The Poseidon Adventure in the dining room/theater.

It was one of those slow, overnight boats (The Minoan) that I had been on many times as a kid.

The Mediterranean is a bitchy sea, my friends.

  3. My oldest son got freaked out by “Twister” at Universal Studios when he was ten. He had to leave the room. He also hated rollercoasters. He’s a Flight instructor now, taking aerobatics lessons. Go figure.

“Worse! They played The Poseidon Adventure in the dining room/theater.”

…we took a riverboat “Lock And Dam” day cruise one time, and everyone was stuck inside because it rained the whole time. They had a pianist taking requests on the main deck where the food was, so me being me I had to request “The Wreck Of The Edmund Fizgerald” followed by “The Morning After” theme from “Poseidon”. The guy kinda rolled his eyes but since I did hit his tip jar he dutifully (and well!) played them, althogh he did feel he had to remark to the room that we were unlikely to have similar problems on the Ohio River.

Like I said, he did a good job, but theres one way it COULD have been better that they WOULDNT do.

…if he had played them on the calliope instead…

  5. I had the duty ushering, taking tickets etc. at the base theater at NAS Miramar, California when I was TAD to special services in early 1973 the first night that they showed the Poseidon Adventure. Every seat in the base theater was packed, it was a full house. and I had to stay afterward to do cleanup after the movie was shown to prepare for the next day. I don’t remember much of the movie because I was extremely busy making sure that everything ran smoothly.
