Newt Gingrich Serves Up a Pant Load of Ridiculousness

Newt Gingrich warns GOP: Biden’s winning.

Axios-

President Biden “has carefully and cautiously waged war in Ukraine with no American troops.” He just “had one of the best first term off-year elections in history.” Nancy Pelosi? Ron Klain? Jill Biden?

  • No. That was Newt Gingrich — leader of the Republican revolution of 1994, which swept him in as speaker of the House.
  • “Quit Underestimating President Biden,” Gingrich wrote in a column this week. “[C]onservatives’ hostility to the Biden administration … tends to blind us to just how effective Biden has been on his terms.”

Why it matters: Gingrich has a point. If you look at Biden’s legislative accomplishments, he has exceeded expectations for a Congress where Democrats hold narrow majorities, and a country that’s split in two.

Gingrich, 79, told me: “I was thinking about football and the clarity of winning and losing. It hit me that, measured by his goals, Biden has been much more successful than we have been willing to credit.”

Biden agrees. Advisers tell me he hasn’t made a formal decision about running again — that’ll come over Christmas, ultimately made by him and the first lady.

  • But his friends tell me they think only two things could stop him: health or Jill.

With Republicans controlling the House, Biden won’t be able to pass much in the second term. But the subtext of his Year 3 and 4 travel around the country will be: Look at my results.

  • He’ll argue that he helped produce record-low joblessness, America-first jobs in manufacturing and computer chips, and the largest infrastructure and green energy bills in history.

The way the White House will sell the record: “The most significant economic recovery package since Roosevelt … The largest infrastructure plan since Eisenhower … The most sweeping gun reform bill since Clinton … Landmark China competitiveness legislation that’s already bringing manufacturing jobs back from overseas … The largest climate change bill in

Gingrich had this hard talk for his own party: “Today there is not nearly enough understanding (or acknowledgement) among leading Republicans that our system and approach failed.”

  • “We need to rethink from the ground up how we are going to Defeat Big Government Socialism — including almost inevitable second-time Democrat Presidential Nominee Biden.”
  • “This is a much bigger challenge than I would have guessed before the election.”

The bottom line: A month ago, it would have been tough to imagine a leader of the GOP’s ’90s-era New Right arguing that Joe Biden is not just a winner — but a role model.

  1. Gingrich should have added that Biden has been able to keep the right from demonstrations over stolen elections.

I’m angry I tell ya. So angry I’m going to go find a meme that absolutely nails my degree of anger.

It’s important to remember that what we see as a failure, the communists see as a victory. IMO, Gingrich is giving us a wake up call.

  2. The wake-up call should not include compliments to Joe Biden.
Joe Biden couldn’t find his ass with Mapquest.

Biden is a puppet of the far left. That message would resonate with people and should be made clear. Many believe Biden is a moderate, so hearing Gingrich compliment Biden will tell an asswipe moderate that the moderates are doing well!

Gingrich may be right, but he doesn’t articulate or frame it well. The danger is the SOCIALISTS do not have their deserved stigma, and Gingrich doesn’t help.

  3. “Gingrich may be right”

He’s not right. The Uni Party and the US Chamber tanked the economy to destroy Trumps economy. You can’t count people returning to their jobs as economic growth. And when I hear some like Newt talking like that he’s just proving he was part of it.
If Trumps economic game plan would have been left un interrupted we’d all be in high cotton. Just wait until the Rail road strikes start.

Joe Biden couldn’t find his ass with Mapquest.”

    I fully agree with this.

Unrelated perhaps but last I’d heard, Gingrich isn’t even living in the U.S. anymore, he’s chosen to live in Italy.

  5. Seems to me Biden and the democrats missed big on abortion, student loan forgiveness, the border, crime, inflation, foreign relations, corruption.

Stop me if you’ve heard all this before, but not from Newt Gingrich.

  6. The communists measure success completely different than we do. We saw the Trump presidency as a huge success. We saw it as a success that could not be argued against. But that’s not the case.

We applaud a roaring economy. The commies see it as the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. They don’t believe you can create wealth. They believe it’s finite and they’re not getting their share.

They believe that miniscule segments of society deserve extra special treatment. Treatment different that what the rest get. We believe that all should be treated equally.

They believe that nations don’t require borders which is as insane as it gets.

They believe that we’re killing the planet. We not only know we’re not, we know that they’re only worrying about their own sorry asses, not the planet.

They prefer to have the government do not just their thinking for them but to dole out the largesse equally among them. Notice I didn’t say us. We’re not included. We’re the givers, they’re the takers.

I could go on and on with this and not just far less eloquently than others could but I wouldn’t be passing along any knowledge. We all know the above.

We have a north against the south, the blue against the gray situation and while people like Fetterman win and Kari Lake loses, we’re doing nothing but hoping for somebody to ride in on a white horse swinging Excaliber around in a deadly fashion.

And I’m as guilty of inaction as anybody. I sure as shit won’t last but a few minutes on the battlefield but boy, do I like to bitch, piss and moan.

  7. So glad Newt lifted his skirt and showed everyone his dirty sticky Uniparty Pussy this coordinated effort against Trump is incredible but glad they are outting themselves

  8. Every Executive order Demwit Joe has signed proves he’s accomplished nothing but destruction. Also proves his absolute contempt for “We The People”.
Gingrich needs to qualify his comments, IF, he’s on the side of conservatism. He should have stated Biden’s “accomplishments” have nothing to do with good outcomes.

Gingrich has always been a fence sitter – duplicitous sneak not to be trusted.
Definitely, dislike his take on the Biden pResidency, which Gingrich is trying to make legitimate. That’s enough evidence, Gingrich is covering his a”” like he’s always done in his political “career”.
