Norway Qur’an-burning is being seized upon to justify imposing international blasphemy laws

Jihad Watch: Even though one may object to burning the Qur’an (I do; I’d rather people read and study it), it is a matter of the freedom of expression. If someone burns the Bible, or the Bhagavad Gita, or The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, or any other book, no one will mind. Burning the Qur’an, however, violates Islamic blasphemy law.

By accepting that burning the Qur’an is something that should be restricted and even criminalized, as many in the West have done, Western authorities are opening the door for the establishment of Muslims as a special class that is above the law, and for the introduction of more Sharia into their countries. They’re striking a massive blow against one of the core principles of their society, the freedom of speech. read more

  1. Freedom of speech was never just that. What it actually means is freedom of THOUGHT — the sovereign liberty to decide matters for yourself and to express your mind at will.

But, since both Islam and the Left are 100% against freedom of thought (neither succeeds where freedom of thought is defended unto death), you already know which way this will go.

  2. Remember when the Florida police threatened to SUE that reverend for crowd control and overtime costs if he burned a Koran?

Don’t trust the police. They are SUPPOSED to be there to ENSURE our rights are upheld, not sue us if we exercise them.

  3. Luckily for us we have at least a temporary roadblock from that happening here because of Trump. No doubt the democrats would be quick to get on board with the idea if they could.

  4. PC, from the beginning, was stealth thought control right out of Orwell. If you limit the number of words people can use, you automatically limit their ability to express themselves. Over time – coupled with the inculcated ignorance of deliberately bad education, mass government dependency, and the constant, inescapable pressure of base social influences – you will limit their range of rational independent thought. You them far more susceptible to mass control. And it works.

  5. I wouldn’t burn the koran, you may need it to wipe your ass with before too long.
once the war breaks out who knows how long it will be before you have the toilet paper factories running again.

  6. Mao said: “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.”
Political Correctness grows out of the barrel of a bank… as in you’ll lose your job, but in the end it will all come back to the gun. There is some good dialog in the movie Open Range like in the bar scene where they talk about what needs to be done:

Mack: Shame what this town’s come to.

Charley Waite: You could do something about it.

Mack: What? We’re freighters. Ralph here’s a shopkeeper.

Charley Waite: You’re men, ain’t you?

Mack: I didn’t raise my boys just to see ’em killed.

Charley Waite: Well you may not know this, but there’s things that gnaw at a man worse than dying.

The intolerance of iSlam won’t go quietly.

Citizens: Shame what our country’s come to….

  7. There was an article some weeks back about why an effective revolt is unlikely. The middle class, which the Left hates, has grown too comfortable and fears losing its comforts. No matter how offensive the tax burdens, dimished liberties, selective enforcement, lawlessness, etc, may become, it bitches and whines like mere Brits but remains inert. Too much at stake.

Lots of truth there. “Bread and circuses” but many will settle just for bread. I fear that I am one of them because I really wouldn’t know who to shoot.

  8. I carry a Koran with me when I go backpacking. Not only does it give me something to read, but also something to wipe my ass with.

  9. There are a lot of Dynamics involved in this, I think something will come along and tip the apple cart over just as Trump tipped the globalist cart over. It may be when he is re-elected the left will blow and push too far? It could also be the collapse of the derivatives, debt and unfunded liabilities, somewhere around five hundred trillion I hear? It’s the bull in the China cabinet. It will be a painful remake of America. Not sure how people are going to cope? The soft comfortable life we love will be a memory possibly? Probably going to be a accountability for the ones that got us here that are still living?

  10. For the first time, the name Mohammed has cracked the top ten list of names for newborn born boys in the U.S. Let that sink in for a minute. We. Are. So. Screwed.

  11. gin blossom,
    WHy not have both?
Use the pages of the Quoran to light the jihadists on fire.

  12. @Gin Blossom: “I agree it’s a bad idea to burn the Koran. I think we should burn all the jihadists instead.”

It’s not just the ‘jihadists’ that are the problem, it is Islam itself. It’s not a religion, it’s a totalitarian warlord society posing as one.

The only solution, which our ancestors knew well, is to push it back to Africa. The 1st Amendment (freedom of religion) does not apply since it is not a religion but an invasion code everywhere it goes.

We have been fighting this war since 600AD. ‘Bout time to finish it.

PS – not islamophobic, just addicted to truth.

    Just the facts, ma’am.

  13. The left/swamp/Islamic cabal, with crazy women politicians running beta males by the nose.

If they ever take over, after killing us, the swamp creatures would be eliminated. After that, the leftists and islamist would fight it out for the rest.
