OAN: The Biden administration has extended a Trump-era policy, which allowed for illegal immigrants to be turned away at the border to help stop the spread of COVID-19. On Monday, the CDC announced the so-called Title 42 policy would remain in effect until there was no longer a health threat from non-citizens.
This comes after the White House has faced backlash for their failures to enforce the policy, while allowing thousands of COVID positive illegals to be transported and released into cities around the country. In addition, a record number of unaccompanied minors were stopped at the border last month.
Critics have argued exemption from this rule for minors would exacerbate the problem. more
