Raquel Welch, who paved the way as both an actress and international sex symbol has died … TMZ has learned.
According to family members, Raquel died this morning after a brief illness.
Welch first rose to fame for her back-to-back roles in “Fantastic Voyage” and “One Million Years B.C.” — both in 1966.
Welch only had a handful of lines in ‘B.C.’ but it was her wardrobe — a simple and skimpy deerskin bikini — that catapulted her to sex symbol status.
From there, Welch’s profile blew up, and she was one of the most sought-after female stars throughout the ’60s and ’70s … taking home plenty of hardware in the process, including a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her 1974 role in “The Three Musketeers.”
Jab! Jab!! Jab!!! JAAAAAB!!!
Dang. That sucks. I saw her do an interview a couple years ago and she was still gorgeous. That woman shot me into puberty when I was about 7 years old.
Hannie Caulder rest in peace
My first lust for an actress. And I was but a child when I started. And yeah, it was One Million Years B.C. where it started.
Over the years I kept remarking to myself that I’d still hit that. I would have loved to have been on her list of lovers.
All class. She never did a nude scene. Let’s just say if she had ever done an NFL half time show she never would have swiped her own crotch and sniffed her fingers. All the woman celebrities now days are pigs.
She was sexier than her peers because she was intelligent too. Enjoyed her interviews with Carson; the others were often like nails on a chalkboard.
When I was in Detention for saying Ike’s OPERATION WETBACK was not proof Americans were bad and that Ike was white nationalist she was the star of a play in nearby Hemet.
Ramona
She exuded SEX! I was at attention!
Unlike most “stars” I never saw or heard anything bad about her.
The play is outdoors, horses actually run through us to get on stage. Great fun; or t least it was decades ago.
If you are allergic to road apples, Im not, maybe not fun.
How sad. I will rub one out to honor her memory….
One Million Years B.C. on Svengoolie this weekend?
RAQUEL WELCH DEAD AT 82
NANCY PELOSI ALIVE AT 82
THERE IS NO JUSTICE
I thumbed-up the Svengoolie reference. We usually tune in. Love the old, low budget sci-fi / thriller stuff.
I always liked her, she seemed unaffected by her own glamor and the clamor. Yet Jane Fonda still lives, go figure.
Did she ever Botox her lips? I was just over at Gateway Pundit reading a piece about Sarah Palin saying deSantis should stay out of 2024. Then I watched the video! Holy stiff upper lip, batman. She done it. Botox face. Another one I over-rated.
Oh, I never thought Loren was “sexy.” Smart, skilled… yes.
Well that’s sad.
She was one of those stars who seemed like they’d be around forever.
BENITO
Feinstein, 89. Petrified piece of shit.
I met her once. She was nice.
RIP
Enjoyed her work.
Yet Jane Fonda is still shilling for the Commies, Demos & Globalists…
BRAD, 👍👍👍👍👍
When a man final figures out how to build a time machine when asked what was his motavation he will answer: duh, … Rachel Welch, circa 1970 plus or minues 5 years.
She seemed grounded. Not full of herself.
Good conservative, I believe. RIP
Can’t detract from any of the comments, but Sophia Loren will always be the one who started the flame that will never go out. The Pride and the Passion 1957 is the one that got my attention. Something like 100 movies and now 88 years old and still one of the classiest boards out there.
Broads damn it!
David Burge @iowahawkblog has a twitter thread with some really good pics of her with various classic automobiles.
“Raquel died this morning after a brief illness.”
Otherwise known as “The Jab”.
She did so much for our GI’s working with Bob Hope. She was a class act. I still have a pillow case with her image on it that my brother gave me for Christmas way back.
A nice antidote to the tranny pictures.
No male tranny/drag can compete with an incredibly natural beauty like Rachel Welch. May she rest in peace.
The tight, white wetsuit she filled beautifully in Fantastic Voyage-OMG!
RIP, Lovely Lady.
