Ready or Not, Here I Come!!!

China’s Tiangong-1 (translated to “Heavenly Palace“) space station went out of control in 2016 and is expected to crash back to Earth sometime between March 30 to April 6th. Satellite trackers know that the 34 foot, 18,753 lbs. station should come down somewhere between 43 degrees North and 43 degrees South latitude, which could drop  on a number of major cities. More

Living at 46 degrees North latitude has its benefits.

  1. I think it would be fitting, if it landed square on the Bill Clinton Presidential Library & Massage Parlor… 😉

  2. Somewhere between 43 degrees North and 43 degrees south???? Holy Shit, that is where 90% of the worlds population lives. They couldn’t narrow this down a little bit?

  3. I’m on the 45th parallel.
I’ll be watching. If it crashes nearby then I’m going to get their ASAP an lie down. Then I’m calling Doowee, Cheatem & Howe Lawyers.

  4. “… somewhere between 43 degrees North and 43 degrees South latitude …”

I could have guessed that without looking at the sky.
C’mon … that’s like anywhere between Chicago and the Cape Horn … they can’t do math any better than that?

Maybe we DO need more females in the STEM group …

    > Won’t this thing be consumed entering earth’s atmosphere?

An hour later and it’s flying again.

  6. While it would be not ideal for me being somewhat local, if it were to crash into DC I’d absolutely be ok with that. Yeah it would be inconvenient and likely toxic for me. I’ll manage. If for some reason it misses, I’d like the next meteor to visit the capitol please.
