Report: NJ Residents Are Not Surrendering ‘High Capacity’ Magazines to State Police

Breitbart: A report from Reason reveals not a single New Jersey resident has surrendered their “high capacity” magazines to state police since the implementation of the magazine ban.

Breitbart News reported that New Jersey’s “high capacity” magazine ban took effect December 11, 2018, making the mere possession of such a magazine a fourth degree felony.

At first, the New Jersey State Police refused to rule out door-to-door enforcement of the ban, then made clear that they had no plans to go house-to-house.  read more

  1. ^^^ Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnd every good gun owner will bury them and/or suddenly lose them in a tragic boating accident. Rots-A-Ruck you dumb bastards!

  2. If a gov’t (heh heh) chooses to relieve you of your rights, either your rights aren’t rights, or your gov’t is illegitimate.
    There is NO middle ground.
By definition, a right transcends time and space, irrespective of whatever maggot happens to be hogging at the public trough at any given moment.
Thus, your rights cannot be voted out of existence by the whim of a majority of corrupt representatives who either don’t understand the meaning of “right” or don’t care to protect your rights due to considerations of the eventual fulfillment of their nefarious ends.

Either way, the result is TYRANNY.

Lest this seem an exaggeration, cast a gander through History, say … the last 5,000 years, or so … or the past 100 years … any continent you choose.

  3. …keep this “100% non-compliance” thing, as @Deplorable B Woodman says, in mind. It’s important and it WILL be on the test later, according to one who LIVED it…

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

…Indeed yes, @Tim. Rights are given by GOD. All the Constitution does is ACKNOWLEDGE that.

    …and no man..or any Nancy…can LEGITIMATELY take them…

“The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.” – John Adams, “A Defence of the Constitutions of the Government of the United States of America”, 1787

“Life, faculties, production — in other words, individuality, liberty, property — this is man. And in spite of the cunning of artful political leaders, these three gifts from God precede all human legislation, and are superior to it. Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.”

    -Frédéric Bastiat, “The Law”

  5. NJ knows it will lose in court doing this so they will be satisfied that they passed it even if it is illegal.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

  6. The best battle we can fight at this time is in the courts. Trump needs to fill as many empty seats as possible with conservative judges that understand and follow the constitution. The Senate needs to push these nominations through as fast as possible.
Ginsburg needs to just go away and give Trump time to seat another conservative justice. It will be a fight with the dems even bigger than the last.

I wonder what the dems tactics will be to remove sitting judges they disagree with.

  7. This is good! After watching the loon clerk in the Georgia vape store, it’s good to know sanity resides somewhere. …..Lady in Red

PS: I hope the NRA sues.

  8. LIR,
If the NRA hasn’t already filed a lawsuit against the Gubberment for the bumpstock debacle, don’t be looking for them to take any action in the NJ”law” (tyrannical overreach) until someone else has already started, then they’ll jump in and claim credit.

  9. “I wonder what the dems tactics will be to remove sitting judges they disagree with.” -@tctsunami

…Well, given the way that Hillary removed Justice Scalia, I think we already have an answer…to both THAT, and why OTHER ‘judges”, like Roberts, suddenly started toeing the Democrat line regardless of the contortions of Law and Logic they need to go through to do so…

  10. That is when all the “molon lave” fanboys will get to strap on the big boy pants. When the chips are down, choose Liberty. Standing up, not on your knees.

  11. Lets see if the Governors security detail turn their magazines in First. LEO basic load is 3 magazines one in the gun and two on the belt. I will bet that every LEO in the state has more than that. So they need to surrender all their extras before they harass any private citizen. Then start at the top of the LEO chain of command Chief of the state police and EVERY Police chief in the state. Next then down every police department’s chain of command to the newest rookie cop. See how they like before harassing any citizen.
