Ridiculous Lies

“There’s a common misconception and a straight up lie that’s pushed out there that illegal aliens are the hardest workers of them all. That’s a damn lie.”

  1. I lived in w Texas for 5 years and who ever is working those rigs is working their asses off no matter WTF flavor is up there.

Now if you’re talking roofing…fucking Mexicans are Mad GD Hatters. Had a roof replaced in my Lamesa home. Mexies bid it lower, we went with them. Got a primo job. Don’t know the ends & outs of the pay scale but it was a sweetly done job.

  2. I got Gringo-ed on my roofing job 25 years ago. All Mexican team and I live in an Hispanic neighborhood. I did not expect to be treated the way I was.

At one point I wanted to say where I wanted the whirlybirds to go and they all said No Ingles. I made the slash across my throat and said vamoose with the hand motions for them to go. The white-owned company was surprised the head guy said that since he does speak English and had been with him 10 years. Told him I really don’t appreciate that.

Then they were skipping replacing the rotted parts and just papering over them. I kicked them off the job again and called the boss again. It only worked a little bit. They still tried to get away with it and did when I wasn’t looking.

They mangled my crepe myrtles along the driveway to make way for the dump truck. I could have easily tied them back but they never brought it up. Just did it.

I was pretty pissed by this point and let the boss and the salesman – another white 20 something – know how unhappy I was with their job and how they treated me.

They finished a one day job four days later because of their shenanigans. I paid the contract in full and left the check in a zip lock bag under my door mat. Included was a one paragraph note saying I would never recommend them to any of my customers or friends.

The salesman called and wanted to send an arborist for something that would make no diff, but also, I was trained for what he wanted to do anyway. No way anyone from that company was going on my property again. I think he lost all his profit for all the problems they caused and he even tried to yell at me. I laughed and told him he was paid in full, what is your problem? Of course I would never recommend you, but I could sue for what they did and didn’t do. How about treat your customers better and don’t try to get away with cutting corners.

The next roofer will be Hispanic because it will be my neighbor across the street, a good friend. Funny how you can get treated when they don’t know you.

  3. One thing about the oilfield, if you don’t work, you don’t have a job. It doesn’t make any difference who you are. I could tell you stories, but unless you were there it wouldn’t matter. I thought it was great!

  4. If they’re so hard-working and tax-paying, how come we drained FEMA (after draining all the other money pots) to pay for them?
    Hmmmmmmmmmm???
Most of them came here for the freebees. The only opportunities they seeked were to make money with crime!
