Officials are reportedly reassessing the risk posed by Chinese-made devices found in solar panels that are capable of damaging the energy infrastructure, destabilizing the power grid and triggering widespread blackouts.
Over the past nine months, “rogue communication devices” not listed in product documents were found in solar power inverters and batteries from several Chinese suppliers, according to sources familiar with the matter who spoke with Reuters. The undocumented devices were found after U.S. experts disassembled the renewable energy equipment to check for security issues, prompting officials to review the potential dangers of the Chinese-made devices, according to the publication. more

back in 2012 I had done some side work for a company that offshored products made in china all the demo stuff was of good quality but when the product came in it was junk stainless cable turned to plain galvanized steel the finish was bad and items that were supposed to be tempered were soft ,since then I actively look for U.S. products china made isn’t for me
if it has a circuit board in it and is made in China then assume it’s compromised. they embed their devices in the boards so you 1. have to X-ray them to find them and 2. have to know what to look for to find it. been doing this for years and they are in things you’d not ever think of. our own govt does shit like this too, which is why using random charging cords, USB cords, storage drives (USB, flash, etc) is always a bad idea. they’ve embedded things in cords that steal data and send it out as soon as you plug it in. they’ve intercepted equipment in transit and installed things in the ‘factory’ fresh device.
How the hell can anyone claim to be surprised by this?

Read the tea leaves, what country invaded our air space with balloons, invaded Universities, corporate research facilities to transfer new and emerging technologies to a communist country, who continues buy large acreage of farmland, with large swaths of land are near Military installations, threaten our Ally (Tiawan), bought many food processing plants across thew nation, ships tons of Fentanyl into our country, killing 10s of thousands of our youth, bought our Politicians and then use spyware in our energy infrastructure and military technologies.
Where does it all lead? I suspect the Nation will find out when it’s too late.
The enemy within are the people who repeatedly vote for and support our demise through ignorance or intentional actions. The most dangerous to our nation are the intentional actions fomenting Division and fear through Propaganda, sharing National Security Intelligence, stealing new and emerging technology, while attacking the Nuclear Family and promoting a Godless country at War with itself. Division and chaos opens the door for civil war and invasion by our enemies.
Thank God, I’ll not be around to see the demise of a once Great Country and a once Great people who once sought, but lost, the Freedoms granted by God.
We, as a Nation, have made many mistakes deviating from the intentions of our Founding Fathers, but we can attempt to right the wrongs and return to ideals expressed in our Constitution and writings of those who sought and fought for Freedom for Americans throughout the 1700s.

Let’s be honest…if Americans could only purchase very expensive American-made solar panels, virtually nobody would have, and the BS incentives, payoff times, etc. would NEVER have encouraged anyone to take the risk. Nobody cared about security because they were too interested in virtue signaling.
