Susan Collins Tells Left-Wing Activists To Stop Bribing Her Over Kavanaugh Vote

DC: Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine fired back at progressive activists on Monday who have been raising money to oust the senator in the event she votes affirmatively to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

“I consider this quid pro quo fundraising to be the equivalent of an attempt to bribe me to vote against Judge Kavanaugh,” Collins told Newsmax. “If I vote against him, the money is refunded to the donors. If I vote for him, the money is given to my opponent for the 2020 race.”

Collins was referring to the joint effort by Maine People’s Alliance and Mainers for Accountable Leadership to crowdfund in an attempt to compel the senator to vote against Kavanaugh. The campaign, called “Either Sen. Collins VOTES NO on Kavanaugh OR we fund her future opponent,” has currently raised over $1.0 million, with a goal of $1.3 million.  more here

SNIP: I think the Lefties should have thrown in a free nose reduction. Maybe two.

  1. Pres. Trump: Please fill the vacant position at the top of the DOJ. You have more than amply rewarded Jeff Sessions for his support and loyalty. Now put a new person in the office and get rolling on fighting the corruption eating away the foundations of the country.

  2. George Soros is MPA’s big money source.
He uses them like a rented mule.
They defend pedophiles and push socialist health care and any commie idea they are told to by Soros.

  3. Sounds like bribing a government official, where’s the DOJ? Oh, yea the DOJ is on the other side looking the other way.

  4. I’m not sure I have a problem with this approach.

“Dear Senator, We are a group of your constituents and are aggressively raising funds to support the campaign of an opponent if you don’t vote the way we want on this issue.”

The majority of the money may be from sleaze but, as long as it is raised legally, what’s the problem with this approach? Isn’t this Lobbying 101?

  5. The left is harassing her big time. Notice it’s them who find Collins more important and beneficial than the Republicans? I think some of the stuff that happened to her has been enough to warrant calls to the police, but in this case, they’re trolling her. If they already gave her the money and then publicly said we paid you to do ” ” so do it or else, then it does sound like bribery and threats to me. So if she’s serious about it, she should call the feds and file a complaint. She’s an elite so they’ll listen.

  6. “Would you have sex with me for a million dollars?”
    “Yes”
“Would you have sex with me for a dollar?”
“No! What do you think I am?”

“We’ve already established that – now we’re negotiating price.”

We support politicians because they vote the way we want them to vote.
If they vote contrary to our desires, we support their opponents.
    “DUH!”
They imagine themselves as Mosaic Lawgivers who have descended the Mountain to show us the Law granted from on high.
Well, they ain’t. Mostly they make shit up as they go along and enrich themselves at our expense. And then get in High Dudgeon when called out.
