Texas is to finalize the construction of a barrier along its southern border with Mexico as it is expected to award a new contract this week.
According to a statement on its website, the Texas Facilities Commission announced an engineering firm and a design firm had been drafted to oversee the project’s construction, according to The Texas Tribune.
The Washington Examiner reported:
“The Texas Facilities Commission, which oversees state contracts, said in a statement it anticipates awarding the border wall project with more than $1 billion in available funding by mid-September.”
“The commissioners must vote on the decision before the contract for a program manager can be awarded, and the final monetary amount has not yet been determined. The program manager will handle the budget and determine where to build.” read more
Great move for Texas, the wall will have paid for itself inn 5 to 7 years.
Let me guess. Biden administration will file for an injunction.
If Texas was smart they would make an offer to California to pull down their panels and haul them away. I bet California would end up paying for Texas’s wall. Texas might even make a profit off the deal.
By the time it’s finished, all the mexicans will be here. Then we can move to the former mexico, and use the wall to keep them from returning.
California should be on the other side of the wall.
Texas will secede from the Union. It’s only a matter of time.

Texas’s economy would go from smoken to dead in a heart beat.
total waste of money – the (p)Resident’ll jes fly ’em in wherever he needs the votes
Texas will be AMONG the first states to secede. We’re in for a civil war, and the likes of people who have their hands up Biden’s ass and operating his mouth would love it. Until they start getting killed.
I read recently about the left over materials for the wall being either destroyed or taken away rapidly. Now I understand the reason for the hurry.
Texas’s economy would not go from smokin’ to dead in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately MMinWA, those are all good reasons for left-coast lunatics to relocate here.
Please don’t. It’s already changed radically in the last 22 years.
