Texas: Teen duct-taped to pole after losing a bet

HOUSTON, TX (InsideEdition.com) — Cops in Texas were called to the side of a highway this week after responding to a report of a man taped to an intersection traffic sign, a peculiar sight that was reportedly motivated by a bet.

Right as police approached the man, suspended fully off the ground by quite a bit of duct tape, another man who was reportedly carrying a knife approached.

“Drop the knife or I’ll Tase you,” one officer reportedly shouted.

As it turned out, though, the knife-wielding subject was the taped up teen’s friend, who was there to cut him down.

He may have helped tape him up, since the man, Miguel Chavez, was there willingly, having lost a bet over the Rockets and Warriors NBA game that was held Tuesday.  read more

  1. “Drop the knife or I’ll tase you”

Honestly the cops I know would have died laughing. That prick, probably a SJW needs to find another line of work.

  2. The “EB Green” tape we used to use on submarines would
remove the top layer of skin along with all of your hair
when you tried to peel it off……
Well, that’s what somebody told me anyway……. 🙂

  3. Loco, in Cali it truley is April Fools day. On April 1st in California Sale Tax, Gas Tax, and Vehicle Registration all increase to pay for the Liberal Socialist dream. Ironic about the date.

  4. When I was in high school, one of my classmates was being a prick to everyone, so I suggested to some other classmates that we Saran Wrap him to the goal post. I came down with the flu and missed a couple days of school, and while I was absent, people wrapped him to the goal post over lunch hour and left him there. I’m still sort of miffed that I wasn’t there, since it was my idea.

  5. This is just good fun with what I consider normal teen interaction. Cops around here (we have a pretty good bunch of ’em) would get a kick out of this. Make no mistake, the cops may well entertain themselves in this situation (maybe fake write up the duct taped victim for loitering while he is hanging from the pole) but they’d get what was going on.

Small towns like ours are still pretty good places to live.
