The Gold Standard for The National Anthem

Jim Cornelison does the national anthem for the Chicago Blackhawks. Occasionally,  you’ll get hear him preform at Soldier Field  like for yesterday’s opener.

I couldn’t find video of Cornelison belting out the “Star Spangled Banner” yesterday, but this one from about six years ago game gives you an idea of what it’s like.

That huge ring he’s wearing? It’s for the Stanley Cup winning Blackhawks.

  1. I can’t help about the shape I’m in
I can’t sing, I ain’t pretty and my legs are thin
But don’t ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Always jealous of people with musical talent. I have none.
