Call me a crazy old physiognomist, but my theory is that you can always spot a lesbian by her big thrusting chin. Celebrity Eskimo Sandi Toksvig, Ellen DeGeneres, Jodie Foster, Clare Balding, Vita Sackville-West, God love them: there’s a touch of Desperate Dan in the jaw-bone area, no doubt the better to go bobbing for apples.  more

  1. I had some older cousins growing up that listened to nothing but her and the Beetles. Girls. They corrupted me. The Beetles never stuck. She did. Sad really.

    That line should become viral.
Now, we have ladies getting plastic chin implants. They look ridiculous.

  3. Thanks, you two. I enjoyed all of those tunes, and The Look of Love most of all. But I don’t think Ronald’s Maximus’ old friend, Agnes Moorehead was ever really a lesbian. And lesbian or not, Dusty still rules a part of our hearts.

  4. I love all her songs a real talent and I had no idea she lived such a miserable life. The article was intent on blaming society for Dusty’s demons or excusing her behavior.

  5. We have had a pair of Dusty Springfield Best Of discs in the CD player upstairs for going on seven years and it only holds six discs. The kids love it.
