Trump popped all their “No Kings” balloons when he spoke at the end of the parade. He didn’t say one word about his birthday. He celebrated their 250th anniversary. He praised them from the Revolutionary through their current version. He also compared Flag Day to Bastille Day in France which is celebrated every year which is when the Allies defeated Germany.
@Mr. Liberty — I have a theory about those people. Watch a documentary about Woodstock. It will tell you all you need to know about the ones who swore back then they would never grow up. “Stuck in the ’60s” was never more true than for them. Seriously. They’re very comfortable living off the fat of the land and other people’s largess, man. Being constantly stoned and sponging off others became a way of life.

Sometimes I’m really reticent to identify as a boomer, y’all some pansy ass mother fuckers.
When they first started talking about the No Kings protests, I was, eh, whatever as long as they’re peaceful. But on another level the name bothered me – a lot – and I couldn’t figure out why. I’ve seen various comments online that came close to what was making my eyes narrow but nothing actually nailed it. One was July 4th is our No Kings day, for obvious reasons, and that’s when they should’ve had their protests.
And then it hit me, for them saying No Kings is just another way of saying “but Trump” without having to mention Trump directly in the name. That’s when I literally stopped paying any attention to those protests. I refuse to watch anything about them for one simple reason. Until the Dems et al can talk about what they believe, what they’re for or against without mentioning Trump – what is there to listen to? They are so lost right now.
Side note: If they could think past the end of their collective noses….
They might realize that very fact that they CAN protest “No Kings”, stop traffic and flaunt the police, graphically demonstrates we DO NOT have a King/Dictator in the White House!
To be clear regarding my last comment, I do realize that it’s blatantly obvious that they’re literally protesting Trump. What irks me is it’s another one of their word games. Plus the fact that they can’t directly name the thing/policy/whatever they’re protesting.
Or maybe they are. But that alone has simply grown very tiresome. They literally have nothing to offer except “but Trump”.

I noticed an older lady in the Winco parking lost yesterday when I was buying groceries who had No Kings stickers in the side windows of her car. Another older dumbass baby bummer who never grew up with Peter Pan syndrome. What really bothers me is the growing numbers of older bummers still smoking dope like it was the 60’s and 70’s to cope with getting old.

Personally, I don’t think they’re after an alternative. They’re not capable of putting that much thought into it. I think they’re after chaos. Especially these pink haired women. Although I did get my hair cut a couple weeks back by a young lady with pink hair and she turned out to be a stone cold conservative. Weird. We had a great conversation. She claims she can’t make her friends think. lol.
Parking lot not parking lost although I think that older lady was definitely lost in her political worldview. Next it will be the geriatric tour of nursing homes and Indian casinos by the Rolling Stones and etc. with gads of stoned old farts still carrying on like they were young.

Chaos or they just don’t know how to do anything but protest. Actually it’s probably a mix of both. I think a lot of them, especially the more organized ones nowadays, are after chaos, pure and simple. But I also see quite a few that do seem to oddly be leftovers from the hippy generation that honestly only know how to protest. I say oddly because some of them are not even that old and yet all they do is protest.
Slight side tangent but has anyone noticed that the ones coming out of the Dem party with the MAHA movement are generally actually offering ideas and solutions? It is a definite mindset.
