I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again we had one known queer in my fighter squadron when I was in the Navy 50 years ago. Everyone knew who he was, and we left him alone and we had no problems with him as long as he didn’t push his queerness on everyone in my squadron. And there might have been another one who was the squadron yeoman equivalent to being the company clerk, but we never quite knew the full truth about him

I thought the ship had a load of KY Jelly down deep in its hold. When it was in port some of the sailors would steal a bit of it for “personal uses”.
