NBC News

A group of fifth-grade students were arrested last fall over an alleged plot to murder a fellow student after being overheard discussing their plans, according to a newly released police report.

Four students at the Legacy Traditional School in Surprise, Arizona, were accused of planning to fatally stab a fellow fifth grade student and forge a suicide note to make it appear self-inflicted, according to the police report. 1. Ten and eleven-year-olds conspiring to murder a boy because he was cheating on a girl. Words almost fail me. I think the world would be a better place if none of these little demons were in it.

  2. Wow, this takes “Mean Girls” to a new level! Yes, all girls. I imagine the only one of the 4 who felt no remorse, and who smiled and giggled through the police interview, was the one who was going to do the stabbing. Psycho. I bet her baby-sitting jobs dry up.

  3. Surprise Arizona doesn’t seem like a hoodrat haven of any kind. These sinister kids are more like real life middle class examples of “Children of the Corn”. Particularly, the “Bad Seed” ring leader.

  4. AbigailAdams, absolutely! As a kid, when I first saw that film, I couldn’t believe a kid could be so evil. Just wanted her to get her comeuppances. LOL! However, as an adult I realized how truly scary it is.

  5. Took two journos to write that story, and from the looks of it, they’re both muslims. And their presentation what seemed to downplay the public charter school* incident somewhat. Which leads me to believe** that:

    (a) The charter school is run and staffed by muslims.

    (b) A large percentage of the student body is muslim.

    (c) The miscreants were of the muslim persuasion.

    (d) The media has an interest in mitigating negative fallout .

    *Anybody remember Fethullah Gulen?

**My belief is based on my experience with “public charter schools” as well as local media shilling for them. However, my experience was over a decade ago, so I could be completely off-base here.
